Just to be devil's advocate, not everone wants meat substitutes. That's mostly for people to taper off or to address cravings. The food industry benefits a lot from meat substitutes and trying to portray them as "normal" meals. During a period of time I drasticly cut meat intake to 1) help make weight for a fight and 2) I was living off savings from a part time job while in college. Getting stuff to look or taste like meat never crossed my mind.

@Stoicswimfish They don't need to be maneuverable when in thrust we trust. In all seriousness the F-4 Phantom was considered a brick but when flown correctly it had great turn rate. It was known that American G-suits were superior to the Soviet ones so a Phantom pilot could actually use turn rate to force a MiG pilot to pull Gs to exhaustion.

@leviotten Plenty of people native to the region, North Canada, Alaska, Finland, etc.

@leviotten Antarctica isn't in the Arctic. There's humans who've lived there for tens of thousands of years, Antarctica is only accessible by sailing while modern Russia and America were connected by the Bering land bridge.
