  1. Well that's questionable. Police forces, tribal people in Afghanistan, and Americans if they were ever invaded, would not be expected to give up all their arms just because a war is happening. The issue here is that within context it's militants who would have weapons rather than civilians, and there's other patterns that allow the PID to be made.

It was game over. 2. This is just bad faith. Germany and the Soviet Union also used US technology to build their war machine. Is it wrong to fight Germany and later Communism because you sold them stuff before? No.
