Those turrets are powered by ship hydraulics. The Humvee is gonna win easily.
1
The issue is even if a bot is writing, they have to build the accounts with a following. That's the hardpoint limit.
1
Large drones cost the same as an aircraft. Womp womp.
1
Could have been purchased from the West through sanctions busting or from a government willing to export, which marks them in English for the international market.
1
The problem is that anyone with a RPG now has a huge target to shoot at.
1
They have people acting as "resistance" behind enemy lines who report locations, the US also uses satellite images and communications surveillance. There's electronic warfare aircraft flying close to the Ukrainian border to spy on enemy movements.
1
No, Russia should bleed more.
1
@WalterWiperi And what is better? Dying for freedom? Or bleeding for a rich man who will never pay you for your sacrifice?
1
@WalterWiperi This is nonsense. Doesn't matter who is the president of Ukraine, people who want Ukraine to exist and not get bullied will fight. Zelensky doesn't matter. Meanwhile, the Russian people have no business being in Ukraine. What does it matter to them? Ukraine negotiated peace. Russia does not want peace. When Ukraine asked for the separatists to stop fighting, Russia said it wasn't their problem. They send money and weapons to keep the fight going and refuse to talk, tell Ukraine to talk to the separatists. Well, the separatists obey Russia. All you have is a hit piece on Zelensky... but he doesn't matter. He's just one man. What matters are the millions of people who are being denied a home by Russian aggression. And every day Putin or Lavrov beg to be taken seriously by the West. They say the West is irrelevant and they don't need them, but then turn around and act like puppies saying everyone hates Russia, poor weak Russia, it's us versus the world because the world is so mean...
1
@WalterWiperi The government tyranny of a state fighting back after Russia put weapons and criminals inside its borders. Illegitimate coup? The democratically elected parliament relieved the president of his duties after he fled the country. Eight years... In the years prior to the war less than 20 people had died on average per year in the conflict. They were not told what language they could speak. Ukraine told Russia that Russia propaganda would have to be spoken in Ukrainian. Russian speakers in Ukraine could speak Russian with each other. Russian media in Ukraine had to speak Ukrainian. Big difference. Almost every country has language laws to promote their national language or else all the TV shows and music become English because of America. There was negotiation. The separatists ignored it. They get paid to fight and kill, they fight and kill. All on Russia's behalf. The DPR forces planned to assault Debaltseve the day after signing Minsk II. You can't deal with these people. They'll plan to stab you in the back before the ink is even dry. Nobody cares about festivals. Ukrainians are not fighting for festivals. They're fighting for a homeland. There's no negotiation possible because Russia has broken almost every negotiation they've been a part of. The only way they listen is by force. The DPR and LPR could have my sympathy, but they've decided to be a conglomeration of criminals, murderers, terrorists on the Kremlin payroll. Pushilin even looks like the criminal he is. Seriously. He looks like a movie villain. There's a reason Ukrainian cities are being destroyed. Putin wills it. It's fine. Ukraine loses the city. Russia loses its future. How will Russia's demographics recover after sending their boys to die? Occupation comes at a cost. Make sure the hole you're trying to fill with blood doesn't lead to the sea.
1
They merged because otherwise they'd go bust lol the companies didn't team up with their rivals because they're evil, they did it because the market is shrinking and dozens of companies can't stay afloat.
1
@pogo1140 They had the A-7. The YA-7F Strikefighter program was canceled because the A-7 lost the flyoff against a YA-10.
1
That's a lot of "what ifs" brought on by absolute conjecture. The drone swarm could be defeated and the Marines still have air cover. What then?
1
Then the combined team can do the job and leave the A-10 home. Not all SAM threats can be suppressed by Wild Weasel. Only radar SAMs generate the emissions.
1
The Patriots in the Gulf were doing ABM duty despite being anti-aircraft. There were a few problems with the warhead and the computer clock which were fixed. Meanwhile you also study enemy air defense so you can defeat it, not to copy it.
1
Probably the stuff about the legal age of marriage debunk he did.
1
Probably got a first class ticket to Aberdeen.
1
Side characters getting their arc while the main plot stalls so that the writers can come up with a finale that wraps up this season.
1
Why are you asking people to prove a negative?
1
@yjk1037 Atmospheric drag. Also, ballistic missiles come down at near vertical. They hit an apex and fall down.
1
What irony?
1
Name the crime. What's the charge?
1
The Bayraktar TB2 is flying again. Not really man portable.
1
@Seth90 Yes it is. In just a few days, TB2s already destroyed 26 million worth of equipment in tanks, IFV and artillery. They are still useful now. Russian air defense? "What air defense doing?"
1
Yet politicians constantly cut burger production. The F-22 burger was supposed to have over 700 buns and patties made. But politiciajs cut the contract to just around 180 burgers. Hmmm.
1
@mats66 Like you mentioned darkness. That has nothing to do with the fundraiser. Would it be better if done in daylight?
1
That should be the Third Army Corps.
1
I mean it kind of makes them look foolish. Not all publicity is good publicity.
1
@raidermaxx2324 Yes. Material will turn into unstable isotopes, and as they return to a stable element they will emit radiation over time.
1
Yeah but you can't be forced to take an experimental one, that's messed up considering all the Cold War era testing the military did on troops. And I don't know a single soul who had Cominarty or whatever was the "truly approved" one called.
1
The fact that there's no Fahrenheit readouts anywhere. You're forced to drive a car with a tachometer in km/h. You're asked the speed. Will you answer in mph or just read what the thing says? 37°C could be utterly meaningless to him. He thought it was hot, and he read 37 in the readout or weather report. Since he had no number in °F he had to use Celsius. Even though he doesn't understand it beyond "it was hot".
1
@keatonwastaken Russia purposefully strikes refugee convoys as policy. They did it in Syria and Ukraine. And such convoys can't be mistaken by military ones because the civilians are driving their soccer mom vans instead of several ton trucks.
1
It would slow down due to something called drag. After you hit an aerodynamic object and knock it off course, it becomes an air brake. It's like a bullet being forced to go sideways. You went from a bullet to something with the ballistic coefficient of a brick.
1
0.8 of a trillion is a massive cost, but check which percentage goes into training, wages and benefits vs purchases. Also mind that currently Europe is gearing up for military manufacturing because they let it atrophy with the US essentially bankrolling a huge chunk of defense for foreign countries.
1
Bomb truck applies to guided munitions. F-16s and B-1s have pulled bomb truck duty. The upgrades are just barely keeping the A-10 relevant, should have been retired in the 90s.
1
@benpurcell4935 The A-10 also sacrifices a lot to carry heavy payload. It's a severely thrust limited aircraft, to the point it had to take off with a light load from locations like Bagram airbase. At 5k feet ASL the air is thin enough that if you tried to take off with an A-10 with full load, you'd hit the perimeter fence.
1
It's irrelevant. If you have air superiority but no proper targeting systems and PGMs (like Russia), tanks will breach through your lines. In Ukraine neither side has air superiority over the contested area, and yet tanks breach through lines. It's not that important, it changes nothing.
1
You expected thermometers to have a °F readout in Eastern Europe? He's forced to get temperature in Celsius so he has to use Celsius. If he's driving a car over there and ask him the speed on the tachometer, he's gonna use km/h instead of mph, and when he's filling the tank he'll use liters instead of galons. Simply because he has no choice.
1
It could damage optics and viewports, forcing the crew to open the hatches and put their heads outside the tank to see.
1
Imagine an autocannon shredding them all into pieces with airburst rounds.
1
But Saab never sold many Gripens while F-16s sold like hot cakes. The Gripen's support requirements being lower is undone by the fact that there's less support available. Saab is focusing on E/F models as C/D models age. What about spare parts? Is Saab going to open a factory just for legacy Gripens?
1
It should burn before apogee (you can't turn the missile 180 at full speed) and it falls ballistically with maneuvering capabilities.
1
You absolutely need armor against drones, because they can drop grenades.
1
ISIS did a drone drop on a tank hatch way back in the 2010s.
1
@gophermaster I don't have to prove claims I don't make. I gain nothing from claiming any job I had. Harris is trying to get votes off her student-worker cred. In that case yes, you have to prove the claim.
1
@Just_A_Random_Desk they all are
1
@AnarexicSumo It's not "incendiary" because the fuel is burnt in the air and adds to the explosion. On the other hand, normsl explosives can set fires anyway. Incendiary ammo and tracers also exist, and they can set fires.
1
Boyd never designed anything.
1
If a ship was close enough for gun use, the defending military would dedicate missiles to take out that threat.
