A big issue is that the water turning into steam would cool the engine, essentially robbing the energy the alcohol puts into the compressed air. Water/methanol injection is a thing. But it is done ahead of the combustion section, so that evaporative cooling cools the compressed air.

@zyeborm Charge air cooling works on jet engines too. Israel planned to use it on a Mach 3 recon variant of the F-4 Phantom.

@zyeborm To increase thrust you burn more fuel, which makes things hotter, which causes turbines to fail. So you use cooling for more thrust. Same as the intercool after the turbo allowing for greater HP by charging the air without problems, or NOS allowing for increased fuel injection.
