The controversy isn't working at McDonald's. It's lying about it.

And the strict education standards makes them highly skilled but suppresses innovation. At an institutional level these highly skilled students are discouraged by superiors once they get a job. And the Chinese scientific paper mills are also a known issue. The fact that the West is in shambles doesn't mean China will rise above.

@alphaspartan It wasn't celebrated in Greece, just "tolerated". Either way stuff that happened hundreds of years or even two thousand years ago have nothing to do with the topic. The topic is MAPs. MAPs weren't a thing until the 2010s. Nobody called themselves MAPs. People with the same intentions had groups like NAMBLA. They didn't use the term "MAP".

@Soren015 When I mess up events between 2003-2009 that's not lying. When I tell stories to make myself look cool I am lying. I don't tell such stories.

@nuttbag6658 Nobody in politics gives one either. Why vote at all, then?

You're not trying to brag about being working class to secure votes.

@estoy3300 Did you specifically go to a broadcast show and tell you weed smoking stories to look cool to the younger voters so you can get elected to the highest office in the country? Your youtube comment would get a pass. Hardly anyone will read it and you're not seeking glory. You're confusing inconsequential small talk and political campaigning.

@gophermaster I don't have to prove claims I don't make. I gain nothing from claiming any job I had. Harris is trying to get votes off her student-worker cred. In that case yes, you have to prove the claim.

It's something to brag about because the youth feels disenfranchised. Saying you worked a dead end job while studying, then get to the presidency is an inspiration for those who are struggling to get through their education and fearing the state of the job market.

@tyranosurasmax "you need to listen to more music" I don't want to. Jokes aside, 20 years ago I didn't have the internet. So forgive me for being 13 years old and not having the money to buy a new record every week like Mr. Music Professional over here. Back then you listened to what the TV or radio influenced you to listen, ir you discovered through word of mouth. And if your friends were all normies like you they wouldn't have the deep cuts and niche stuff.

Is Shakespeare running for office in 2024?

@stevenobrien557 I mean, it is. If your point is that one guy is a liar, your girl has to be a paragon of truth. If they're both liars pick some other defining characteristic other than honesty.

@Legomanfred The point is that it was McDonald's. People respect you for starting from the bottom. If your first job was a three letter agency everyone would assume you were a trust fund kid or nepo baby. Saying you worked at McDonald's makes the working class respect you.

That's the point. People understand the struggle.
