Without the cultural context of Korea human waves, to me "meat wave" sounds like a term inspired by videogames where you fight off waves. Like zombies/horde mode. You play the game to see how many rounds you can last, knowing you can never truly win. So Ukrainians have to defend territory knowing that eventually they will have to abandon it, because the waves will keep coming.

There's plenty of video. And aftermath photos. Look man, you're either trolling with denial, or you're not used to the dark corners of the internet.

In the Zaporizhzhia offensive you could see even failed attacks by Ukraine were more surgical. Russians have really no options - it's attack until the objective is captured. Even if it takes two months of assaults that get wrecked.

Like a record baby right round round round

No, he isn't. Much like his drunk video after the Kharkiv offensive, man's running damage control. The videos don't lie. Russian attacks are doomed to catastrophe and their success comes from wearing down the defenders and depleting their ammunition.

@comradericefarmerhao2269 It wasn't a myth in Korea, and meat wave isn't human wave. Human wave is using mass to trade short term casualties for long term success, meat wave is overwhelming defenses with constant assaults.

@danielallan8061 it was 15-16k KIA, the 40k were total casualties including wounded. The 15k came from Murz, on the Russian side. He was threatened for posting and he took his own life

To me the "waves" is almost like zombie/horde mode in videogames. You clear "waves" and wait for the next, repeat. Evetually you will be overwhelmed and lose.

But the force isn't concentrated. It took months to capture towns like this. It's a trickle.
