@rasmusjensen291 my problem is how we're constantly being lied to about the reasons to go to war and how the people who profit from military investments have a revolving door with the government.

@rasmusjensen291 the USS Maine exploded due to a coal fire but claims that it had been blown up by the Spanish was one of the contributing factors to the Spanish-American war. The Gulf of Tonkin incident was also the cause for the US entering the Vietnam war. On August 2nd 1964 three North Vietnamese boats intercepted USS Maddox as it was penetrating into North Vietnamese waters, the Americans fired on the North Vietnamese and they retaliated with machine gun fire and torpedoes. On August 4th the USS Maddox reported being under attack due to radar signals caused by the bad weather. This second attack and the omission that the Americans had fired first on August 2nd were used as legal justification to enter the Vietnam war. The US also accused Iraq of keeping chemical weapon stockpiles even though they were complying with the UN. The US accused Saddam of supporting the 9/11 hijack even though there was no evidence. Dick Cheney and Colin Powell insisted that Iraq was using "mobile labs" to manufacture botulism and anthrax. After trailers that looked like mobile labs were discovered this seemed to vindicate the claims but both the UN and the Pentagon determines they were hydrogen generators for weather balloons.
