  3.  @MrJohnTripperson  That's not true, and the government wasn't toppled. The Verkhovna Rada had a vote to remove Yanukovych from office when he fled the country. The government was still in session so by definition they were not toppled if they VOTED to have snap elections.

  4. What would be the point of using Patriot when they're smaller in number and strength than the actual army? They sent airplanes and helicopters to attack the convoy. They saw it as a threat. And Wagner shot down multiple of the. But because Shoigu's merry band of gunmen wasn't deployed it wasn't "real"?

  5. But they weren't on the battlefield. They did security. They got shot at, they fired back. Not an unsavory tactic. The biggest stain on Blackwater's record was a huge legal misconduct as evidence that would exonerate the contractors was not admitted and evidence was allowed to be introduced by the notoriously corrupt Iraqi police.

  8. ​ @realtalk6195  None of them are like Wagner. Wagner had Su-25s and tanks. Blackwater had Toyota trucks and civilian helicopters. Western PMCs are poorly armed and only act as security. They had to call for support from the US military all the time.

  10.  @mukhtarsyajaratun1025  I don't think it was ever confirmed it was all Blackwater and in a convoy you don't stop. I know it baffles you people, but in a place where the enemy makes you stop so they can hit your vehicles with an ambush, you do whatever it takes to move forward.

It's amazing how you people memoryholed the Russian MoD constantly calling out Wagner lies because they constantly got in trouble and requested VDV help, or claimed to have captured towns when the VDV had done it.

  20. Many resources are hard to extact and are in remote areas. You could actually end up losing money trying to extract Russia's wealth. Same problem as Afghanistan. Tons of valuable stuff under the rock. But costs more to take out than you'd get back selling it.

  24. The standard was set by South African and former Rhodesian soldiers forming PMCs in Africa. And comparing the "standard" of security work to the "standard" of war crimes and tanks is like saying taking a 20 dollar bill from a wallet you found is equivalent to the North Hollywood bank robbery.

Blackwater don't have to be good boys or bad boys. They got paid to protect businesses and corporate executives. They were mall cops with guns. Wagner was an unofficial arm of Russian intelligence and had the capability to fight wars. Blackwater never had tanks or artillery. Black ops use special operations units to retain government oversight.
