Nick S there is a situation with bore diameter because I'm not actually sure a 37mm diameter has "sporting use" - there used to be huge shotguns to fire at waterfowl but this one seems to have a barrel too short. Bore diameter is limited to 0.5" unless the weapon has sporting use, or else it becomes a Destructive Device. Barrel shorter than 18" and it's a SBS. By virtue of being a flare launcher, it's legal. If it wasn't it would be a NFA item.
