Before being "redpilled" was a thing, it could be argued those who behaved as "redpilled" were left leaning. Offensive humor, talking shit about the system, and how Congress is having hearings about banning metal, rap, videogames, etc. Ethan most likely was a kid/teen when Gen X was the driver of culture.

@user-rt2sm5ny5r Pilots account for the Earth's curvature in several situations. For example they follow great circle flight paths because the distance across two points on the same latitude is shorter away from the Equator. So rather than fly parallel to the Equator, along latitude lines, they curve towards the Poles to save time and fuel. In the DCS flight sim the map is flat to simplify development. However the grid lines for coordinates are curved. That is because if you lay places that exist in a real world in a flat plane the real life coordinates no longer match up.

FFFFUUUUUU-

@VektorEpsilon Different websites. But you are correct, the CWCforums was the origin of the name. Parkourdude91 was a lolcow who turned out to be faking his antics as a troll (he was a writer for Sam Hyde's Million Dollar Extreme) and he constantly said "quickie forums" and "kiwi forums".

@frikghorgan PETA used to get celebrities to do ads, get small flash games developed, etc for their campaigns. You only need law enforcement powers to make arrests, everything else is kind of fair game.
25
Well one dude called "Q-Anon Shaman" was wearing animal fur over his head.
24
@UENIG tate lied?
17
@slavicemperor8279 there's also a funny military anecdote about Britain's response to the Falklands invasion, there were mechanical computers doing the ballistic compensation for the big guns and when the ships cross the Equator they have to reverse it. They were in such a hurry they forgot to reverse the system so when they got to shoot at Argentinian positions all the shots were missing because the ballistics computer was tracking as if they were still in the Northern hemisphere.

@internetnobody6754 There is if you just build it as a cult. Hey man you're not gonna need your wordly posessions ahahah we don't need private property dude, just give it all to me... I mean the "community" ahahah
15
Nah it's a legit technique. Cults and stuff use it. The problem is that people have learned words pike "gaslighting" and "lovebombing" and use them recklessly.
15
@Sacrifice117 "just admit you're upset that you're not a woman and cant do the same." - If I were a woman I wouldn't do the same. I'd probably be upset that I'd be taken less seriously as a woman because of them polluting twitch. Camwh0ring has existed since broadband internet became a thing, the issue isn't the activity. It's how people are pushing the boundaries to have sexualized streams on a place that's not supposed to have adult content.
15
Started from the bottom now we're here.
14
A mighty peculiar buck, if I may say so.
12
@hrodebrt Socialism is when I am required to wear billion dollar branding. The more expensive brands I wear the more socialister it is. Karl Marx said it.
9
He wasn't getting the truth out, he was trying to impress kids. Jesus...
9
@KasperYakolev-j1h How is it a cope? You're attributing courage to a man trying to impress minors online?
9
@0festiva0 "I don't care, they're all the same" "But that benefits Russia" "I don't care" Gee all you non-carers have very similar opinions. Or lack of them.
9
@Maximilian1990 Dude got dragged so he had to expose the situation. Happens a lot. Like 60-70% of the drama these days is wild accusations that tarnish someone, then a week or two later the person who was accused brings forward the evidence that they're innocent and being framed. Everyone's insane by that metric.
9
@internetanon952 That's a ridiculous premise. Literally anyone else could have been hired to do the same job. That's like saying if not for a contractor a house wouldn't exist. Null also constantly complains about CP and nonces, the logical explanation is that he washed his hands of what went down with 8chan. If you can listen to him complain about that type of content in general, you can't hold that against him as a gotcha.
9
The stoppable force meets the pushover object.
9
Doesn't matter. The moment you are rewarded you become a shill. Like, in gaming forums there were nvidia fanboys who eventually leveraged their online activity to get paid to do it. It's irrelevant that they praised a manufacturer of graphics cards for free, they got paid at some point.
9
He wasn't the admin, hotwheels was.
8
Tom is the type of guy to get in a fight and you only see him and his opponent turn into a dust cloud with occasional fists and feet swinging outward.
8
@gensoustudy4703 Ryan Gosling? How do you know me?

@sarahb6570 There are no socialist countries, there's only a few nominally socialist countries in the world. North Korea, Vietnam, Venezuela, etc. Socialism is defined as state control of the means of production under the hands of the communist party. Inequality or not, that's irrelevant. Politics are based on reality, not feelings. You can't afford champagne, because that's only from a specific region in France. Socialism can't make everyone French from that specific region. What a freaking joke. It's like you're a cartoon strawman of a socialist. Who the hell cares about champagne, you're trying to promise a life of luxury as a selling point for socialism. And we'll all drive Bentleys and BUH-GATTIS right?
7
@sarahb6570 "socialist EU country" I mean that doesn't even make sense when the EU is explicitly a neoliberal construct to promote a common market. The EU's whole point is the growth of Europe in the post-WWII by incorporating as much grease as possible so that capitalism can do its magic and run smoothly.
7
@spirit1803 Many news agencies shut down their comments sections under news. I mean you wouldn't expect the most intelligent commentary under something as divisive as politics, but there's a precedent. Not really a conspiracy. I doubt it would happen because the comments are so ingrained in the youtube experience but it wouldn't be unheard of.
7
If cops bust down your door and point rifles at you instead of handguns, you got swatted. What the actual hell is even that argument?
7
@bobdylan1015 That's like saying a serial cheater truly believes in monogamy, but the sex just feels too good. You can't believe in personal luxuries as a socialist. Full stop. That's like being an environmentalist but believing in "rolling coal" in your huge Diesel truck.
5
@bobdylan1015 Workers don't have the money to start their own clothing brand. Hasan quite literally could afford to have an entire wardrobe of tailor made clothes, sourced ethically.
5
@ZaoMedong- "exposing Internet Historian" barely anyone cared about the IH thing, it was the biggest bombshell because he has better reputation than anyone else but really he didn't do anything that bad
5
@dixiekitsune8382 Funnily enough Vaush was against loli. That's why everyone was calling him a hypocrite.
5
The issue with alternatives, is that if you need to look up a tutorial on how to do something, you'll check it out on youtube. As a platform, youtube has a massive backlog that keeps pulling people back.
5
I put them on Hawk Tuah coin and got sucked dry...😔
5
Meh, the "right side of history" will change. In the year 3000 they'll look at you like we look at medieval culture and values today.
5
@planebreach And Lauren Chen has links to Russia. Hence the money had to come from Russia. C'mon.
4
Tom the typa guy to see a horrific car crash and say "you can't park there, mate".
4
tf does that mean? That's like saying all people who enjoy FPS are mass shooters, just because it's entertaining to watch someone being vile doesn't mean you are that person
4
@Sapient_Pearwood I know it doesn't benefit the corporation but pelting someone with what's virtually a 150k fine is still a big win.
4
Apparently, still up on Tor.
4
@Cenzurat DarkSydePhil
4
@magnagermania9311 Bronies did it too, called it "clopping" I think
4
@Abrody1477 You don't get to pick your own job but you get to cultivate your audience. If people who hate you are watching but they have no way of harming your income, who cares if they're watching?
3
@KasperYakolev-j1h It didn't take balls because he never expected to get caught. It's not courage, it's stupidity.

6-7 years ago it was Word doc macros. A .docx file would ask permission to run macros, or people would have them on by default, and a perfectly clean docx file would be the entry point. Major ovesight by Microsoft.
3
It was and it wasn't. They brought in a domesticated racoon and pretended to find one by random chance. "Paid actor" just sounds funny.
3
Yeah the "taxes" folder.... wink wink
3
Prime got to my country like 3 months after initial release and went straight to the clearance aisle too. Incredible.
3
Could be 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, you'd still complain.
3
You have to register as a foreign agent. None of these peopls did.
