  3. We see those cars on the opposite end of Europe too. A lot of them aren't luxurious, just high-end - these are people with money or working for major corporations that easily allow for remote jobs. It doesn't mean they are oligarchs or politicians, probably a lot of crypto bros or tech bros. I saw a Russian dude working remotely for Yandex here in Portugal.

  5. But that absolutely screws over generational wealth. Billionaires will leave at least 500 million, middle class like us gets a pittance. Inheritance tax is absolutely evil and the trick is pointing to billionaires and pretending it's a punitive action. We don't feel satisfied about extra government funding, we just want to see the rich lose. But they still win. We're the ones losing everything.

  6. It basically took all the planets aligning for Fukushima to happen. An outdated reactor protected by an insufficient sea wall survived a one in a million tsunami - and it only had problems because procedure mandated a cooling shutdown and they couldn't start it back up. So yeah nature can throw the hardest shot at 1950s nuclear tech and it still stands.
