How many of your wunderwaffe SAM sites need to get wrecked before you finally learn that you can't save yourself from US air power? The R-37M much like the AIM-54 Phoenix is meant for high altitude, fat, non maneuvering targets like bombers, AWACS and tankers. It's a big fat missile, very low Pk against an aware and maneuvering target at the edge of its range.
