 @5tre55full Who confirmed that kill? It was most likely a MiG-31 at max afterburner. The Su-57 is terrible for long range launches when Russia has a faster aircraft with a bigger radar.

@V_for_Vovin Deflection. It simply makes no sense that Russia would use the Su-57 for long range R-37 use. Why? At that range the stealth doesn't matter. MiG-31 can fly higher, faster, and has a bigger radar. Why would the Su-57 take that shot?

@asatechnics8363 Some Americans have flown Russian jets. When the Cold War ended, the West kept a lot of their jets. The Russians didn't get ours.

@V_for_Vovin Why wouldn't they? Because it would be poointless. What's there to demonstrate. We have no evidence, so there's no "demonstration". My logic is that the Su-57 is a prototype masquerading as a production aircraft, they're special snowflake aircraft that really can't be doing combat ops like that.

@5tre55full The logic is that the F-15 has a record of over a hundred kills and no losses to enemy aircraft. And that the Su-57 kills are myth designed to fool the fanboys. That's logic.

@AVlad-eg3ds To test aircraft, you can just do... tests. There's no footage of a Su-57 launching a R-37M, why would it have a combat launch? There's footage of US aircraft doing test launches of new weapons, even if both the weapon and aircraft are old, simply because it's the first time a weapon was used on that aircraft and testing is required to ensure there's no separation issues (due to fluid dynamics, weapons can get "sucked" into the aircraft and slam into it, causing damage). Your argument is that a WORSE aircraft for the R-37M launch is being used... just for kicks? It's a war, you want effectiveness over trying to do trickshots. Why would the Su-57 be in the air, and with a weapon that it is worse at using? There's very few combat Su-57s. Considering how many were built and how many have to be sidelined for maintenance, there's very few chances to have Su-57s in the air.

@fordwrc2006 No I'm curious, because I made a point about Slavic women and you then mentioned American women. The problem is that slavs are an ethnic group while Americans aren't.
