@SonofTheMorningStar666 Why would they be under reported?

@paulwalsh2344 it's not about planning, when competing for hosts variants that are less deadly win by spreading itself further

No. This is SARS CoV 2. The 19 is simply for the year 2019. The number two only means it's the second with the naming convention and doesn't imply mutation because the source has not been traced but it's not from a previous human infection as SARS was contained.

@Apfeljunge666 good thing we're in the 5th effing wave at this point

@jimwantsjustice3465 he's being sarcastic

Naturally immune gang rise up.

The issue is that it's the other way around. The side that had population killed off will have children with stronger immune systems because both parents survived it. So in the end their offspring is in a better position to stay inside the gene pool while the other side might actually be more vulnerable.

@Sembazuru this ignores factors like covid actual getting to people first and causing them to stay isolated during the flu season or even people being tested for covid and not the flu even though they could be carrying both It makes no sense that masks kill the flu, but not covid
1
@Sembazuru "I was saying that masks reduce the transmission of all kinds of respiratory ailments" - So how come it worked for the flu but not the new bug in town? "flu infection rates is something that is tracked and reported publicly" - Actually it is estimated with statistical models because it's impossible to track due to multiple factors that make it extremely hard to collect accurate numbers. And the statistical models fail during pandemic years. Studies done after the 2009 H1N1 found that for ages 65+ the number of hospitalizations due to influenza were underestimated by a factor of 5.2.

Unfathomably based.

Plenty of countries had mask mandates too. You're tossing out data points that don't fit your hypothesis. Get the confirmation that correlation implies causation.

@icebolt0864 If I was going to be knocked on the floor by a security guard and escorted off the premises for not wearing a hat, I would be a little miffed.
1
@somethingsomethingsomethingdar which means that while you have antibodies for the spike protein your immune system isn't actually primed as your T-cells haven't responded to the virus. People who had SARS in '02 had no antibodies a decade later but their T-cells were still primed.

@Xiph1980 This doesn't address anything that was being talked about. Please remain on topic. This was about the differences between types of vaccine technology.
1
Plenty of countries wore them and it didn't make a difference.

@TresTrefusis Fighting for the freedom of whom?

I believe in evolution, and nature will select for a disease that spreads more and kills less.

Say sike right now.

@radaro.9682 you can still be identified by your eyes and bridge of your nose, plus you shoes and gait
1
AI recognition can now identify people by eyes and bridge of nose. Plus it can map your gait.
