@dylan2439 "someone making a comic about him isn't controversial" - It still gave him attention, and therefore money. Why insist on making him famous? "His ridiculous outrage about c-16 was his self made controversy" - How was it self-made? Was he not right? Next thing you'll tell me bill C-21 doesn't actually ban airsoft. "The merch and his embrace of it is hilarious, because for how big brain he is, I've never seen anyone miss the point harder." - He's making money off it. He's grifting harder than the comic writer. You call him dumb and he cries all the way to the bank. You're losing, dude. He's making money off you. "And I didn't respond to the flag thing because we all know that's indoctrination" - So you forfeit the implication that indoctrination is not done at schools. Thanks for torpedoing your own argument. "hence why right wingers use it to control the masses" - Let's look at political donations by federal employees in the Department of Education. In the year 2016 96% were to the democratic party. https://www.fedsmith.com/2016/12/21/tallying-political-donations-from-federal-employees-and-unions/ How are right wingers controlling the masses when the overwhelming majority of federal employees in the DoE are democrat?

@dylan2439 "the guy who complained schools are indoctrinating our youth" - Because they are, and always have been. Even the Pledge of Allegiance was indoctrination. "in the same breath said schools aren't teaching western judeochristian teachings, isn't a religious fascist?" - Please explain how complaining that schools don't teach values means one is a "religious fascist". I like the sleight of hand. You've shifted from calling him a fascist to a "religious fascist", where the word "fascist" is deprived of its meaning to simply carry a negative connotation.

@dylan2439 "far-right" - Not related to teaching of religious values. "authoritarian ultranationalism" - Still not related to religion or schools. "dictatorial power" - The fact that school attendance is compulsive is more dictatorial than teaching religious values. "forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe" - Still don't see how this relates to Peterson, especially since he lives in 21st century Canada, I think. "Hit the nail on the head" - You missed, flattened your finger, fell with your face into the nail and then the hammer hit you in the back of the head. Should have learned how to use tools before attempting it, but clearly nobody raised your right.

@dylan2439 Your original comment doesn't stand. You've still not managed to explain what fascist ideas JP promotes. After ridiculing the concept that the school system could ever indoctrinated children, I pointed to a very overt case of indoctrination in the school system that you ignored. Maybe the easy explanation is that you're wrong. Otherwise you wouldn't be trying to run away from the discussion. If he makes money off of controversy, have you thought about not creating controversy about him? Why willfully participate into the Streisand effect? Genuine question.

How is it a bad thing to profit out of an attempt to ruin your life?

They've essentially left it ambiguous enough. Big companies are comfortable with settlements, they know they can outspend most people who aren't millionaires. You and I know that it's obviously about JP, but in court it would be extremely difficult to prove they were targeting him. At most they'll push for settlement, avoid having to issue a public apology, and agree to discontinue the issue. The damage has been done.

Love to see that you people have nothing better to do than go online harassing people.
