Comments by "Titanium Rain" (@ChucksSEADnDEAD) on "Did NATO provoke the invasion of Ukraine? | Fiona Hill and Lex Fridman" video.
Donestk and Luhansk "agency" or FSB agency? Igor Girkin and other Russian nationals without any links to Donbas started the "uprising". What about the agency of the people who fled to West Ukraine because they wanted to flee Russia? What about the agency of Mariupol residents who were hit by Grad volleys fired by the glorious separatists and Russian army in disguise?

@himiehonor1196 Listen to Russians or read their telegram. They're not hating anything.
3
How were they duped?
2
@FearlessP4P1 Canada signed a military cooperation agreement with China in 2013. Then everyone forgot about it. No invasion.
2
@06rtm But Ukraine couldn't join NATO due to the border conflict since 2014.
2
@CLDLL-yr8df I remember when the US invaded Iraq and several NATO countries said no. Being a member of NATO doesn't mean you are dominated.
2
Putin said all countries have the right to decide their alliances. Putin also said that Crimea was Ukraine and they would not invade after Georgia 2008.
2
China and Canada signed a military agreement in 2013. Nobody cared.
2
If it pissed them off, why no response to Sweden or Finland. Also, would not Russian invasions in the past piss everyone else off, making them consider NATO membership?

@FuriousImp Scott Ritter is a convicted p3d0phile.
1
He didn't delay, he was bribed into signing a deal with Russia that would nullify the EU deal.
1
@Zeitgeist_Dron It's a pretty big "detail" that a president went against the wishes of his voter block for personal profit and then murdered protesters. Nothing awkward about a rich actor with his own production company owning property in America. How many Russian oligarchs have high rise apartments and mansions in Paris, Los Angeles, New York, London, etc?. Bit awkward. I thought the west was evil, but any Russian who comes across some money wants to live with us.
1
The elected government was not overthrown.
1
@ltmund It was violent because the Russian-trained Berkut unit cracked down on protesters hard to demoralize them while Yanukovych passed laws to restrict free speech.
1
@tomfennings8384 It wasn't violent and it was by democracy. The democratically elected government showed up to the Verkhovna Rada and voted to remove the president from power due to his escape to Russia.
1
@ltmund There were violent protests. The removal of Yanukovych happened by vote. What happened in the streets was violent. Yanukovych's removal was bureaucratic. Why does anyone discuss anything? Today I turned on the TV, they were talking about Ukraine. Why?
1
@trimetrodon Mearsheimer also said Putin was too smart to invade.
1
@1donniekak the deal was no NATO forces in East Germany while the USSR existed.
1
@cybervigilante Minsk II was broken the day after it was signed by DPR forces assaulting Debaltseve and forcing the Ukrainian army out. The slaughter was brought on by Russia.
1
@skydragon23101979 The US solved it diplomatically by agreeing to remove missiles from Turkey. Was an invasion necessary?
1
@alxhiding They have not been on great terms. Russians attempted genocide multiple times on Ukrainians.
1
@ProtossOP The government wasn't overthrown. The government showed up to parliament and had a vote to strip the president of power due to his absence.
1
@skydragon23101979 What negotiation could the US do? "Sorry Ukraine but you are a dog and Russia has you by the leash, we can't treat you with the respect a real country deserves".
1
@FearlessP4P1 How could Russia fear attack if they have nukes?
1
@skydragon23101979 The Maidan revolution only happened because Yanukovych murdered protesters and passed laws against free speech. Had he just ignored the small protests people would move on. A verbal promise that NATO wouldn't expand to East Germany. That promise was kept. To this day only West Germany has international bases.
1
@THEGREATAFFILIATOR Why would anyone volunteer for Russia? Iran is currently trying to prevent a revolution so they're the least likely to get involved.
1
@Naprolom177 Not true. The only invasion was Afghanistan due to Article 5 and the US being attacked first.
1
NATO advanced to Finland, which had adamantly remained neutral during the Cold War. They don't seem worried, even removed defenses from the border.
1
@Jimboken1 Er... so Russia is fundamentally prone to being bamboozled because they can only focus in one situation at a time? If NATO is such a big deal why is Russia weakening their defenses near a new NATO border?
1
How is it legitimate?
1
How did NATO mind control Putin into ordering the attack?
1
So Russia gets to have a nuclear arsenal to threaten Ukraine with but the few weapons given by the US (most Ukrainian weapons in 2022 are still Soviet) scares Russia?
1
@domdomdom720 Oh give me a break. Intervention for what? It was a FSB op. They even denied those were Russian troops. Trying to retroactively legitimize a clandestine op is hilarious.
1
@jackthemoldavian5589 No. The Soviet Union asked for NATO not to chase the Warsaw Pact towards the new border between the former East German and Polish territory. This promise was kept - to this day the former East Germany has no NATO bases. Russia always wanted to attack Ukraine - it's been their pet project for centuries. Read Russian social media. They fully believe they need to wipe them off the map. Ukraine staying neutral? That's codeword for weak Ukraine. No friends Ukraine. Easy to invade Ukraine. Try to convince your neighbor to remain "neutral" - he cannot buy locks for his doors or install an alarm. See how well he takes that suggestion. Donetsk and Luhansk were genocided by Russia. They mobilized the men and forced them to be human shields for the Russian army. Very democratic of Russia. Turn their land into a warzone, make people flee for 8 years.
1
Poor Russians are the victims, they say. They were the ones who invaded. Ukraine never attacked Russia prior to their invasion.
1
Macgregor has been consistently wrong about Russian victory and Ritter is a p3d0.
1
Damn and just like that the SS style executions are washed away clean from Russia's hands.
1
The coup wasn't violent. The demcratically elected government showed up to parliament and voted the president out.
1
There was no connection hub. It was Putin's way or the high way.
1
@THEGREATAFFILIATOR No, Putin's own paranoid schizophrenia created a self-fulfilling prophecy. By attacking, Putin created the monster that did not exist before. Now Russia will pay for his sin.
1
Just like women should be responsible for "asking for it", right? Well, women should have 15 rounds of hollow point bullets on tap and dump them in the assailant's chest.
1
Why would Mexico ask China to help them against the US?
1
Common Serb L. NATO wouldn't have intervened if it wasn't for the genocide.
1
You mean disgraced sex offender Scott Ritter. Physical access grants operational control. If I steal your safe and bring it to my garage, the lock won't stop me. I'll grind through the side. Claim operational control all you want, if you have no physical control that warhead is lost.
1
Dave Smith just copypasted Scott Horton talking points. The eternal lolbertarian who'll sacrifice liberty anywhere in the world if it prevents armed conflict. Being anti-war is a very respectable stance, but being anti-self-defence is just foolish.
1
South Vietnam was our ally. Why wouldn't we help them against conquest?
1
@surfingbilly9654 Ukrainian valleys are meaningless in the nuclear age. If tanks start rolling Russia will nuke the US.
1
@andrej13666 Bay of Pigs was BEFORE the Cuban missile crisis. Learn some history before coming here and embarassing yourself.
1
It's a disputed fact. The call is real. It just doesn't prove what you think it does. Russians probably had similar conversations.
1
Putin is a sweet old man when he talks? Oh wow nobody ever lied to the cameras ever.
1
Not an issue unless Russia wants free reign to invade Ukraine. Turns out that's exactly what they want.
1
@mickybender7726 No. A defensive shield against invasion literally only matters if you want to invade in the first place. Russia being mad that they can't invade countries justifies NATO.
