@benr3799 Breaking an ATF ruling isn't necessarily breaking a law. There was a guy who got away with manufacturing illegal machine guns in California because he pointed at the laws on the books and claimed that according to the text, he had not made any firearms. The ATF dropped the charges because they didn't want their ruling to be struct down by a court.

@frontier64 Cody Wilson had one of his printers seized because the company that made it claimed he had violated the licensing agreement.

@frontier64 And Wilson had no right to breach a contract he signed. Mind that after that the company might not have had the right to go to his facility, but could go to court and accuse Wilson of essentially stealing their machine. And then police would have the right to enter his house.

@frontier64 You're the one who doesn't know the law. You're talking about copyright and intellectual property. Meanwhile we're talking about signing a contract about what you do with a physical object. An End User License Agreement. Funny story: a few police departments used their LE credentials to purchase HK416 rifles, once they got them they destroyed the lower receiver, and sold the original genuine Heckler & Koch parts for a massive profit - then used the proceeds to buy themselves more reasonably priced rifles. This has lead to H&K now requiring end user license agreements to prevent organizations from reselling their weapons after they got in trouble with the German government.
