  2. Robot HandLove But your solution is still voting, just no for centrist parties. By exclusion of parts that means either the far right or the far left. I have an easier time trusting plain old greed than ideologues. They are more dangerous specially because they believe they stand for what's right, and the worst villain is the one that believes he's the hero. I don't believe in voting. It's a rigged system and participating only justifies it.

  3. Robot HandLove proportional representation. It doesn't work at all because it has been turned into a two party system that occasionally gets subverted by coalitions. It's always the center-right or the center-left that wins.

Robot HandLove So when a center right party won the elections but the other parties stole the elections by coalition, which was not the will of the people as the people who voted for the far left did not vote for a center left victory, that's what the people want? Mind that I'm not saying the result wasn't fair - what I'm saying is that votes towards the Communist Party and the Left Bloc effectively counted towards the Socialist Party (center left) victory. How is that supposed to reflect the will of the people who did not vote for them to win? Coalitions are made by politicians against the will of the people and they do not represent what people want.

  5. Robot HandLove That's beside the point. I did vote at those elections, for the party that "won" because I predicted something like that would happen. And guess what, my vote didn't matter. I didn't consent to be governed by the coalition, and yet I am. My participation only serves to justify the process with a "you lost fair and square". But I'll humour you. Nobody is going to care or remember in 4 years. And even if that was the case, your defense is that the democratic process works by forcing you to wait 4 years? That's what we reward shitty politicians with, 4 years? What if the next prime minister sucks too? 8 consecutive years of sucky governments. That's a pretty bad deal right there. Okay, if people end up liking the coalition in the future, how does that justify their win today? Elections aren't retroactive. All those fuckers were flip flopping on the coalition issue before the elections, got buttmad for losing and did something the people did not vote in favour for. >"Right now where I am from a center right coalition is in power so it goes both ways." The point isn't the way it goes. I did vote for the center right but only because I predicted that they'd lose and I didn't want a left-wing coalition to win. If I had my way nobody would win. In fact, the right wing did the coalition thing to win the election before the last one. My point was that a vote for the Communist Party, supposedly cast by someone who identifies with Communist ideals, being used to boost the center-left is spitting in the face of communists.

Imagine Party X, lead by Adolf Hitler himself, won with 51% of the votes so he has the majority and doesn't need a coalition. What good is it to wait 4 years if that's enough to declare WWIII and have my country destroyed and invaded by the winners? I didn't vote for them the first time! Didn't do me much good at all! That's what I'm trying to tell you. The elections are a scam because my vote doesn't matter and even if it did, it would only be effective every 4 years. That's enough time to ruin a country, and you're trying to justify that with the option to vote them out when it's too late.

  7. Robot HandLove Nice strawman. Doesn't change the fact that you're telling me a political party should be free to ruin a country just because it takes 4 years to kick them out. You know what's good about Americans? They actually talk about impeachment. I mean, it's not that they do it on the regular or even have a righteous cause for an impeachment every time they mention it, but at least they believe they can change something in between elections. We just bend over and grab our ankles for 4 years.

For example, you have no right to privacy or freedom of speech even though chances are your constitution protects it. It's happening all over the world. Oh, so now whoever secures the monopoly on violence has the right to overturn democratic rule. Well, those are some consistent principles you've got. /sarcasm
