We all know what the Russians are asking of soldiers that surrender. Those men will prefer to die or straight up suicide vest than get caught. If you were in the same position, you would refuse the corridor.

You would be devastated if your father, brother or son died in that "feint". "Your inability to agree with, appreciate or comprehend strategy differing from shock and awe" - This was shock and awe. Missile strikes and VDV drops. But they messed up. They attempted shock and awe, they were going for the first night decapitating the military and command and control so they could roll in unopposed. "Time is on Russia's side" - The other way around. Ukraine is already ravaged. It's a desolate country. They have nothing to lose anymore and NATO/EU is giving them the infinite money cheat. Meanwhile Russia has to pay billions for every day this operation lasts. Time is not on Russia's side because the more people lost in the special military operation the more families will be angry at the government. The more money spent the less the Russian government can provide for the people.

  14.  @rob_one4511  Then if they're taking big losses too, "pasting" adversaries isn't a brag. They're getting pasted just the same. It's called "war", I hear it's pretty brutal. Yes, Ukraine having external support is a given. They're the defender and also the smaller country. Those are the starting conditions. If we're going to hit the reset button and see how it goes if Ukraine gets no external support, I also want to strike the Cold War from history so that Russia can't have a large stockpile of materiel. Things are the way they are.

  15.  @rob_one4511  How are the majority of forces destroyed? Did hundreds of thousands of people die since I went to sleep last night? I don't think it could be possible to hide such a massacre. Fixed in location? Rendered ineffective? The enemy turning their backs and leaving seems effective to me. It's not a remarkable feat. It's below passing grade. If they're so capable, why are they afraid of Ukraine in NATO? Intent past Ukraine? They can have all the intent they want, they don't have the means. After the KIA, captured and wounded, materiel losses, etc they don't have the means to progress past Ukraine even if Ukraine surrendered right now. Give it a decade to heal from the losses before they're capable of another invasion of similar scope.

Asymmetric operations against logistics is a victory like any other. Starve the enemy forces of ammo, food and fuel and how will they fight? This is not Napoleon's game anymore. Russia wants to fight in X terms. Ukraine wants to fight on Y terms. You never fight on the enemy's terms, said Sun Tzu. This is how warfare works. It doesn't matter how much firepower you can bring to bear if when you move it you fall into ambushes, and when you arrive the truck carrying the munitions got blown up by drone sighted artillery. The RF equipment is superior, and it doesn't matter. You can be more accurate, and it doesn't matter. You can have the range advantage, and it doesn't matter. You can shoot faster, and it doesn't matter. You can have the numbers, and it doesn't matter. A single shot into a truck's engine block can delay munitions transports for hours. Funnily enough, doesn't the Orlan-10 use commercial Canon optics? How will Russia manufacture those, I wonder?
