Adam Sandler doesn't necessarily fit into "trash cinema" because they blow a huge budget on big stars delivering cliche dialogue in a mainstream movie with bottom of the barrel jokes and an artificial/cheap emotionally charged final act. It's pretty much a by-the-numbers, written by committee, check-the-boxes, artificially manufactured big studio shlock. Ironic enjoyment of shlock isn't necessarily the same as "trash cinema".

  2. +Shadhir RM and if I'm not mistaken a couple years ago it was found that the results from half of the studies from the field of psychology could not be replicated, and science kinda hangs on the whole repeat-ability thing. One study finding something is always cool news to hear, but not really anything groundbreaking.
