Pretty sure the people with their ass outside the wire were driven by rap and metal/hard rock. Those driven by corporate greed are never anywhere near the front line. I.E. you're nitpicking.

How do you know that? Every year people die from opportunistic infections that deliver the final blow.

@skyam2677 So this stuff has a survival rate of over 99 percent and you know ten people who died?

@skyam2677 You're making my point for me. To know 1 person per 100 who died, you'd have to know 1000 who had it in total to know those 10 fatalities. The problem is, the survival rate is higher than 99 percent. So the only way this is possible is that you know a disproportionate amount of older people with comorbidities. In 2019 my father knew of 3 people around his age who died from cardiovascular disease. Point being, once you get to an age you're bound to know multiple people who died from common causes of death every year. This year you have an opportunistic infection that's taking over everything else, including the flu. But you wouldn't have put two and two together from all the people who die of pneumonia or flu. My grandfather died of pneumonia. I know damned well that was only the knockout blow. If he had died this year rather than 10 years ago, it would have been the coof.

@timeactor Exactly. 15 years from now we'll have documentaries explaining how we totally bungled the data and couldn't suppress a novel viral infection because of a horrible signal to noise ratio.

Making the host visibly ill is even worse for the virus. The virus that wins natural selection is the one that the host is not affected by.

@DMSJagXK Chances of surviving are not good? Post the numbers. It should be over 99 percent survival rate.

"hurr, for the chillenz" Great, you've abandoned your faith in humanity and the sense of preservation of your species. You're either playing cool on the internet or actually depressed, and let me tell you that none of those things lead people to great places. I have a working brain that can be used to help people that I couldn't help physically. Give that a try sometime.

Even if you killed everyone in the fortune 500 and stole their money, the profits of the US's top 400 companies and all the money spent on superbowl ads, you still wouldn't have enough money to cover the debt that the US creates every year. People would still be poor, and getting even poorer because of the government.

I also have a brain and despite not being the most selfless person around I like to contribute to society with more than the work of my muscle. Have fun in a world without hydraulics, engines or electricity. I'd rather try to conserve the most knowledge for the future.

Okay, let's add millionaires all over the world. That would buy you what? One, two years? The "rich" don't have nearly enough wealth to be redistributed by everyone. On the other hand, if you killed all of those rich people and took their assets, while at the same time stealing the value of the Fortune 500, the whole world would crumble because you wouldn't get services, products and the EMPLOYMENT they create.

>everyone keeps doing what they are already doing How? There will be no corporations to invest, to produce or even to sell anything. >we dispense with the need for currency. i.e. free housing, free food And how would it be paid for? I know you have dispensed currency, but food doesn't just come on the table. Does that mean that people will get food off the backs of poor bastards? Who don't even get paid because there's no currency? Slavery much?
