  6.  @curtrobbins  Iraq was a "proper military". Before the war everyone said it was going to be a clustertruck of Vietnam proportions. When the US showed how great it performs when a plan comes together, people downgraded Iraq in hindsight.

  12. Taiwan is not a place declaring independence from within. They are the previous Chinese government (Republic of China) and they had to flee the mainland and seek refugee on that island. They existed before Maoist China.

  15.  @Princip666  Russian artillerymen are now the target. Look at the recent Bayraktar footage, bombing an artillery piece. One artilleryman stopped moving. The other had to crawl on his arms. He's coming back to Russia with no legs. Russia artillery only hits hard when the artillerymen still have hands and feet attached. Now they won't. Enjoy the show.

  17.  @curtrobbins  Iraq was said to be the 4th largest army in the world at the time. Iraq had world class air defenses - all the Soviet stuff, they had French Roland missiles, American MIM-23 Hawk missiles they captured in Kuwait, and all controlled by a French IADS system made specially for them (Kari, which is the French word "Irak" backwards). World class air force? Russia is using their aircraft as unguided artillery.
