Comments by "Titanium Rain" (@ChucksSEADnDEAD) on "The truth behind the Russian meat wave attacks" video.
@gbabayan Every Ukrainian soldier interviewed who described meatwaves explained exactly what they meant. It's the pro-Russia crowd who intentionally confused meat wave with HUMAN wave (Korean War style) so they can say "there are no videos of Russian meat waves".

@asavelakuse6865 A meat wave isn't a banzai charge. A meat wave is part of a creeping advance that is known to fail but expected to facilitate a future wave.

@Conserpov Wrong. Recon by fire aka "speculative fire" is firing on positions to measure the response. Recon in force aka probing attacks is an attack that is meant to gauge the defender. Recon by fire will not risk an assault element as you don't send men, just shells.

There's several Bakhmut videos showing it.

That was human wave. Human waves are just not possible today. Armies have reduced in size and demographics to not allow it. Plus technology would spoil the incoming attack.

Minsk was broken by Russia. Who initiated the attack on Debaltseve immediately after one of the Minsk treaties was signed?

How do you know the objective is manned? You'll hit empty positions and get counter-battery to work on you.

That's a human wave, not meat wave.

@Casisking639 Thousands charging at MGs = HUMAN WAVE (a sea of people crashing like waves against the coast) Small groups in a creeping advance = MEAT wave (a wave of zombies you have to clear like in videogames, knowing you're playing to see how many waves you can clear and you eventually lose)
2
Nonsense. Human wave attacks are imposible. Meat waves are precisely a way to exploit the existence of drones and artillery, by creating small groupings that won't draw the big guns.
1
Not really. There was a clear divide between success and failure. The meat wave is supposed to "fail" and then a future wave will succeed.

@Kansika What? Not only did Putin not fix anything, he also allowed the West to profit immensely.

@Rick8191-tv8pg It wasn't a meat wave attack as the advance wasn't slow and creeping. A meat wave on D-day would have looked like row boats delivering a few squads per day over months.
1
Those weren't meat waves. Meat waves only make sense in the modern world where technology like drones prevents bunching forces together.

@qwertyui-EFRB It was never about mass. Nearly every interview with Ukrainians on defense say they same. The waves are small. They just get tired of fighting and run out of ammo. The "mass" is a red herring by the pro-Russia crowd misusing meat wave as the old "human wave".
