@cameronspence4977 Forcing the enemy to twist itself into a pretzel to exploit weaknesses is good, knowing he will do it so you will be ready is even better. Point the radar one way, enemy will haul his launchers to worse firing positions to try and exploit it. Russia can't fire land based systems from the south or west. Point the system east, you funnel enemy missiles into a known path from the north in Belarus. Or point it north, force missiles to fire from the east. You have to know the enemy but also know yourself. Once you do, you can control the enemy like a puppet on a string. Make him do what you want him to do, and beat him.

That would force Russia to expend more Kinzhals. Forcing Russia to rely on their wunderwaffen would bankrupt them quick.
2
And two Aliexpress drones into Sevastopol naval HQ lol.
2
Russians are gonna rush Kiev again? Let's see them try.
2
Who would buy a system they can't get training for or ammunition?
1
@xchazz86 The US most likely has kill systems that actually destroy it if it gets lost, or trying to reverse engineer it will cause all the data to wipe itself off.
1
Russia can't even beat Ukraine armed with our surplus.
1
@chadbernard2641 he Saudis hide in ditches and behind rocks while Houthis run up to them and gun them down like it's national sport. Whatever the Saudis say can be ignored because of their cowardice and incompetence.
1
Anyone who'd start nuclear war over a Patriot is already unhinged enough to start it over anything else.
1
One battery interlinks with the Hawk, NASAMS and IRIS-T systems they already have.
1
They won't be used for that. And those drones are upwards of 100k. 20k USD doesn't even cover the components.
1
@beefsuprem0241 Shooting down 4-5 million dollar missiles, and also integrating with the system as a whole. Force multiplier.
1
Emma could probably slaughter Mobiks for sport at this point.
1
It links to other Western batteries sent. It's a force multiplier.
1
Passive arrays isn't "passive". It's still an active emitter.
1
Russia claimed they'd hit HIMARS and every other weapon in transit. So far they haven't had any luck.
1
The cheap drones will be brought down with everything from AKs to Gepards to MANPADS.
1
Adding to the comments above, the combat footage filmed by Houthis makes their enemies look bad. They cower in ditches and behind rocks while lone Houthi rebels charge uphill and gun them down at point blank range. They abandon entire columns of armored vehicles when ambushed. It's not very inspiring.
1
Yea, because so many buyers will pay millions for a system they can't use or get rockets for. Think before posting, or get sober. Get back to your antics at your family's Christmas dinner.
1
About the same cost versus Iskander.
1
The West defeats enemy aircraft in the air. When our aircraft destroy enemy aircraft, few come close enough to our air space. Russians also shoot down their own aircraft.
1
Russian missiles that hit playgrounds and pedestrian bridges.
1
One battery that links to the NASAMS and IRIS-T already in theater. Force multiplier.
1
Bias.
1
@GroovyVideo2 What truth? The attacks on the Patriot system were constructed by phoneys like the man who thought the fireball was hundreds of yards in diameter so the missile missed by hundreds of yards. Man's can't even get a sense of scale. Complete incompetence.
1
The drones do not cost 20k. The components alone are worth more than that.
1
@benghazi4216 No. The debris have been catalogued. There's components that are 7k each. The cost should be closer to 100k, it's impossible to manufacture them for 20k. Nevertheless, Shaheds are brought down by Gepards and AK fire if needed. These are for 4-5 million USD missiles.
1
@benghazi4216 Iran buys the components from Europe, the US, Japan, etc. Doesn't matter how much 20k USD is worth in Iran, they have to pay someone to smuggle Texas Instruments products to them. So the engine alone is 10k? Not doing yourself any favors. It also uses 500 USD HS-1005SGT servos, 5800 USD ADIS16488BMLZ, $1800 MTi-100, two AD9361 for 500 bucks a pop and AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ evaluation board is around 1500 USD. This doesn't include smuggling costs, the actual materials to build the airframe or the warhead. Then add labor costs to it.
1
Missiles riddled with fragments can still fall and detonate on the ground.
1
Yep. Rate of speed would be acceleration. Rate of closure is more apt.
1
Which aircraft would get close enough to deploy an anti radar missile? Ukrainian MiGs have to get close to the frontline and pitch up to fire HARMs into frontline radars. Would Russian venture near Kiev without getting shot down?
1
@arbelico2 So why haven't they done it?
1
They just trained Ukrainians. Same as all equipment. They're motivated, Americans can compress training schedules for an emergency. You won't know they've been trained until the stuff is on the field.

PESA (Passive Electronically Scanned Array) means that multiple antennas in an array are fed signal from a lone transmit module. AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) means every antenna has their own transmit module.
