Armies lose roughly 50% of their combat capacity after 20% casualty rate. That means that for Ukraine to hold, their army would have to be at least 1.5 million large, and recruit those 300k every month. In 22 months of fighting, that's 6.6 million. Your numbers are just impossible.

@johntowers1213 If an FSB agent was willing to come forward and say what he thinks, we'd welcome that. In the West we'd call it disagreeing. The FSB agent would be called a traitor.

"They have improved a lot" they threw resources and men away. We were surprised they could mount an offensive. We were even more surprised that offensive ended up like previous ones.

Look at the Avdiivka footage. Does that look like chess?

Quote mining. Speaking of the Austrian painter, he also started a war to protect German speakers.

@teosal3224 Bakhmut was a 9 month battle. Spanned more than one season.

@andzzz2 How is Russia conserving its forces? They burned through DPR and LPR men like crazy. They had elite units in the VDV and naval infantry rebuilt multiple times. The prisoner battalions got it the worst.
2
The DPR and LPR are staffed with Russian nationals mobilized for the war. Murz, LPR volunteer since the original Donbas war, said last year they were already scrapping the bottom of the barrel by conscripting wounded and mentally ill men.
2
@Princip666 Why is Russia using North Korean shells and cold war tanks if sanctions don't work?
2
Are children defined as actual children or just under 18? One time I saw a statistic about children being victims of gun violence in America and they counted up to 21 years old.
2
WWI had tens of thousands of KIA per day during the fiercest battles. This is nothing like that.
2
@RudeCorona Mediazona is only counting obituaries and social media posts. How many have nobody back home, or asked loved ones to keep their death out of the public eye? How many have elderly parents who can't make a VK post? How many are still in the mud and considered missing?

Drones can't win battles yet. You still need the infantry to do their job, and infantry needs their metal boxes.
1
@tellyboy17 But other systems aren't obsolete. Just like infantry wasn't rendered obsolete by the machine gun. No matter what the enemy has, you still need that metal box on wheels or tracks to get you within firing range of the enemy position. That makes them by definition not obsolete, as they still have a role and can't be replaced. Drones are targets too. Thousands are downed per month.
1
@tellyboy17 But drones are targets. They get shot down or brought down with EW. Without the metal boxes, you catch a FPV drone directly to your meat and bones. I'd rather take it on the steel protecting me.
1
@SuperPopopirat The truth of a NATO stronghold in Ukraine? Was Hitler hiding in the dark side of the moon too? How many Boris Johnsons were captured?
1
What we're doing? The fudge does that even mean?
1
@jimmyc974 That didn't happen. Only 21 deaths occurred in 2021, and less than 100 deaths for most of the 2010s. Only 2014 and 2015 had over a thousand deaths, and most were combatants. Most civilian deaths were from landmines or unexploded ordnance.
1
That would help if they weren't grinding themselves. The footage is out there.
1
Eastern Europe being an extension of Yugoslavia is a wild concept.

You also fail to mention that the defense of Bakhmut was what got Progozhin and Wagner out of the way, and also spared cities that would have been fought over if Bakhmut had been abandoned. Russia got absolutely nothing out of Bakhmut after it was portrayed as the key to unlock further advances. The supply hub, remember?
1
What is a full swing of an institution based on grifting? Meanwhile in the real world, Russian servicemen are discussing on telegram how bad North Korean ammo is.
1
@teosal3224 Took them 9 months. Battle of Bakhmut lasted longer than Verdun by a few weeks.
1
MacGregor predicted Ukraine's loss in April 2022. He's just been pushing the date forward for over a year. Like a doomsday cult leader.
1
@dr.jonas.skeppstedt Who's going to rejoice? Families are separated due to Russia.

Some turn the muzzle on themselves. It's been filmed by spotter drone, there's like 10 videos so far of them "pressing X to follow the coward's way out" like in CoD 4.
