@High-Powered Play Every year you were okay with hundreds of thousands dying. You've never cared. Do not pretend you care. Oh, now it's perfectly safe. You people have already shifted the goalposts to "nobody said it was 100% safe" months ago, get with the program. We're supposed to damage the hearts of tens of thousands of young people to protect people who have a year or two left. Either way, if it's so safe and it works, give it to the hundreds of thousands who'd die. Done. They have been saved. Next pandemic please. This one is starting to get boring.

@TonyDiCroce 1. If it's not a secret then why was it ignored? 2. Why wouldn't I want to get it? 3. It's not 1%. Recoveries are 99.76%. And also, the deaths are only this high because people were told to wait until it got worse then admitted them into ICUs when they were dying. We know about multi pronged approaches to treating this. We know the mechanism that causes fatalities. We can prevent them. But the existence of a treatment would end the emergency use authorization.

You people said 80% was enough for herd immunity. Israel has 90% of adults vaccinated. How does it show the opposite? They're having a peak in cases. You're not apolitical. @garretteickelberg9097 "without having specific evidence for the case at hand is not a valid argument" - It is valid because we've all seen it. People I know were banned from social media for saying things last year that only became "okay" to say a few months ago. If tech companies can control dissent that is them playing a part in a political fight.

They don't work against coronaviridae. Same reason we have a shot against the flu, but not against the common cold.

The Lancelet published absolute garbage, some studies were even retracted. At this point peer review has voluntarily tanked its own credibility. If we can't trust the peers, how exactly can a study be properly reviewed? The peers are not unbiased.

@Joshcodes808 For honesty's sake stop using the animal thing. Yes, it's an anti-parasitical drug for pets and cattle... but also humans. It's widely used in Africa because they have a lot of parasites. The only reason people are resorting to animal drugs is because it's nearly impossible to get a prescription.

People exposed to SARS-1 and MERS had increased immunity against SARS-CoV-2. People who had SARS-1 were tested a decade later, even though they had no antibodies the T-cell immune response to SARS-1 was still there. Plus, we've been through this for enough time that you can find people who recovered a year ago.

@User-uk6rk Yes, and people who are infected are supposed to isolate. If you get the shot, you also become contagious when infected.

@SerferTJ Then why did they recommend not shutting down flights from affected areas, why did they delay the announcement of the pandemic, why did they delay the announcement that there was airborne community spread? If this was about not infecting people, they'd have acted faster.

@jimayers4397 Not in terms of herd immunity. If taking the shot only affects the individual, the passports/certificates need to end. And businesses need to stop mandating them for employees.

If you have comorbidities. We have treatments available, but the healthcare system would rather tell you to wait at home for 10 days so you can get worse, then they hook you up to O2 and let you die.
