@mattchew4161 The issue is that it's not even about the shot anymore. It's about the passes. I will not spend the rest of my life showing QR codes on an app to enter stores. Is the current stuff out now garbage? Yeah, it is. Will I take a good one? No. This is ratcheting, first they threaten us with unpersoning, shutting us out from society, then give us a compromise solution so that we line up.

@alexdevcamp I couldn't give the least amount of sh1ts about the libs. I'm endangering myself because I don't want to live in a world where every store you enter needs a phone app QR code scan. I would literally rather die than continue this BS. The world you're defending is a world where I don't want to live in.

You'd be wrong. You believe a media strawman but the fact is that we're probably better informed, at least in average. I've had all my shots. I've never been scared of shots. I am scared of a future full of QR codes and biosecurity.

@mendonesiac It's still experimental and it's still not FDA approved.

Only Pfizer cominarty is approved, which as far as I know won't be available until 2022-2023. In fact the DoD was recently sued because their mandate can be ruled invalid unless they distribute cominarty as pfizer-biontech is still on an extended emergency authorization.

No, it isn't. It's adenovirus viral vector, genetically modified viruses. It's also novel as adenovirus are used in gene therapy.

@alexdevcamp Political sci-fi thriller? Look up which countries contracted Palantir to provide the contact tracing services.

Adenovirus viral vector. Does the same as mRNA but instead of delivering mRNA to cells, it infects cells and hijacks them to produce spike.

It does the same thing. It's still spike protein production by hijacking cells, it's just the method that's different.

@mendonesiac How is it bizarre? In August pfizer-biontech got an extension on the emergency use authorization. If it were approved, why did it need an extension to the EUA? Additionally, the DoD is now being sued over the mandate because they can only mandate the approved shot, and pfizer-biontech is still under EUA so the DoD can only mandate cominarty. Even then, the FDA approval was fast tracked and now they are asking for 75 years to deliver the paperwork of the approval. How can something be approved in less than a year but a review of the paperwork takes 75 years? That is bizarre. The headscratcher here is that Pfizer pulled a bait and switch and you missed the story because it was clear that the approval was meant for a shot that won't be available for a year or more. And now that shot will be outdated thanks to the new variants.
