  1. 1. G forces damage the airframe to. 2. Going over Mach 1.6 just increases the IR signature and burns fuel. 3. The F-35 has a stealth nozzle. 4. Shooting a fleeing jet is a losing proposition. From the moment the rocket motor stops burning, missiles get slower and slower. Meanwhile the jet is getting further away.

  5.  @mattipps  No, it isn't. Often the airframe is limited to 7.5 or 8 Gs even though the human inside can sustain 9 Gs.
