Lmao this channel was called a Russian shill before the war. Cope.

@Oldsmobility98 The definition of air superiority is the suppression of the enemy air force threat. It has nothing to do with sorties. If you fly from Rostov to Belgorod that's a sortie. It means nothing.

@thesaltbaron3029 lmao posting this online won't make Russia win

@mcribisback7105 First, Russia's defense budget benefits from purchasing power parity. Russia pays less for their own products so their budget is 220 billion USD equivalent. Second, we didn't send advanced air defense until the Iranian drones arrived. We mostly sent short range Stingers, which were declared obsolete in 2020 and a replacement should be selected next year. So no, it wasn't state if the art anything giving them trouble. It was Soviet/Warsaw Pact stuff and some old Stingers.

@dusanstankovic5545 No, the EU did not confirm such thing.

lol modern air defense systems, it's old Stingers and Iglas bringing them down.

The US was using helicopters like trucks and BMPs, driving troops around. Vietnam also spanned the 60s and 70s.
2
Yeah speaks volumes about Russian strategic incompetence.
2
@raysschoko That makes no sense. It's Russia fighting to the last man, forcing them forward against impenetrable defenses. The US armed forces would suffer a lot less casualties than the Ukrainians, uncle Putin is a coward and he would nuke the world if US troops arrived.
2
@hiteshadhikari NATO promised not to create bases in East Germany. Promise kept.
2
Ukraine used helicopters to strike fuel depots in Belgorod.
2
@majormoolah5056 It wasn't assymetry. Iraq had the Soviet concept of air defense (and some Western tech) and the US had the game plan to destroy Soviet defenses. It was a parity exchange, it just happens that the Soviet concept was proven wrong by the American concept.

@sweetchiliheat7866 "muh both sides"
1
The US relied on helicopters a lot more than Russia does.
1
@MrLense the Yak 141 three swivel bearing is based on a Convair design from the 60s.

@ok-gs5ly Harriers can do VIFF'ing. But VIFF and Cobras are mostly useless. They kill your speed and make you an easy target.
1
The Apache was one of the first aircraft to go into Iraq. It didn't have the benefit of a full SEAD camapign, they had to go in low and destroy radars.

@tsp312 Oryx has corrected duplicates.

@Oldsmobility98 Titles don't matter, the objective truth does. Russia got BTFO. Time to get your head out of the sand.
1
MANPADS are very weak due to their man portable limitation. The Iraq "desert army" was the 4th largest in the world and was defended by then modern Soviet defenses.
1
@BRANFED America has fought over the most dangerous air spaces protected by Soviet defenses, even flying over the USSR with spy planes before satellites became the primary intel source. You're calling the Iraqi Republican Guard or Serbs "tribesmen"? The US has struck Syria with B-1s, through Syrian and Russian defenses. Those Russians in their S-400s, are they tribesmen too?
1
@raysschoko Russia is fighting to the last man. Stop believing schizo propaganda about women in Ukraine.
1
@BRANFED Iraq had the Kari IADS built by France, French Roland missiles and American MIM-23 Hawk captured from Kuwait. Cope all you want.
1
@majormoolah5056 What? Iraqi Freedom had Rumsfeld's light expeditionary force, Brits, Australians and a few Polish. How was it pronounced?
1
@mcribisback7105 Incorrect. Russia cannot plan an incursion into Kiev without taking Ukrainian fighters into account, so they have no superiority. Even if the SAM threat is greater.
