  3. It can be an aggravating factor. Doing martial arts and using those skills doesn't automatically count as the use of a weapon. It's mostly about if the use of force was legal (self-defense) and how much force was used. A martial artist comitting assault/battery does not get bumped to assault with deadly weapon. But during sentencing the judge can cite that as an aggravating factor to give a harsher sentence. Someone getting a little roughed up by a martial artist is not that relevant, but in cases like Stu where the attack was so severe the bodily harm nearly sent him to the shadow realm this will be taken into account because Raja's training should have taught him the consequences and he still went ahead knowing how much damage he can cause.

  4. ​ @allenstanley3418  Nah it's an old martial arts bullshido fuddlore. If you got pressed you said you did martial arts so they shouldn't mess with you. When people then said "okay let's fight" you replied "I can't, my fists are registered as weapons and I'll go to jail". There's no such registry.
