@jmhorange If someone who doesn't back the war is going to change opinions over this, they were a fair weather ally. Anyone who's truly against the war will understand.

@baroneleve1196 Want to see Ukrainian losses? Volunteer for the Z army and go see them up close. Safety not guaranteed, though.

@cultureabroad8983 Source is the massive effing explosion that happened in the Saki air base. A car 500 meters away from the air base had a 2 ton steel girder shoved into it from the side. The aircraft didn't survive that much explosive force.

@baroneleve1196 They lost the best soldiers. The initial rush to Kiev involved elite VDV units and prestigious forces like the 4th tank guards. They can't handle NATO involvement.

@baroneleve1196 Like a hot knife? I just read the statements from Aleksandr Khodakovsky about how he's getting owned by artillery. Lack of NCO corps means that Russian victories come at a great cost. Takes weeks to move a few miles. They did send special forces and well regarded professional units. The best soldiers are not in a magical reserve in some bunker. They're probably rethinking their life choices.

Yeah interesting war crimes. Russian troops will face trial, eventually.

Here comes the Ru MoD cope update. Imagine being so poor you have to be in the 50 rouble army.

@baroneleve1196 "But ukraine is paying an even higher cost because they are the ones at the receiving end of an unrelenting barrage of unrelenting artillery and air strikes" - And if you check, most of the artillery is landing on empty fields. Ukrainians abandon positions when they become unsustainable, but the "unrelenting barrage" exposes artillery guns to counter-battery. "After causing enough damage, they then move in with heavy armor and tank support" - Where AT mines and Stugna-Ps do their job. "He described it as hellish" - Many Russians/Donbabwe fighters are also describing the situation as hellish. It's all about how much pressure is applied and where. There's also an Ukrainian fighter in the front line who said that after HIMARS, the barrage had ceased in his position and was much more sporadic. "all of the donbas will be conquered by the end of August" - And Russia will give it back as a form of good will. Ukraine can strike Crimea, it can strike all of Donbas. How do you hold terrain when your military can be wiped off in single strikes like that? "Because there's no counteroffensive in Kherson" - Russia put 22 BTGs in Kherson and 27 BTGs in the opposite side of the Dnipro. Without a counter-offensive in Kherson, they're stuck there. They weakened their Donbas forces to expect a counter-offensive in Kherson. The Ukrainians have been talking about an offensive for a month. Think a little, they wanted the Russians to pull troops out of the Donbas.
