@ProfessionalLondonNigaHiga This thread is about women and you're here talking about German weapons.

I'm not into bikes but I'll check it out, thanks for the recommendation.

Also happens on a shitty Alex Cross movie. Guy walks up to some German dudes and asks in German for one of their assault rifles (G36s). He says "Maschinengewehr". The translators don't pick up on technical terms and the original script writers probably don't get to verify the translation or if they do, they don't notice the "literal" translation.

@jared.p240 Because it's a joke. And the more people get offended the funnier it is.

@jaksmith6465 "Why would Germans need to incorporate their old guns into their prototypes ?" - Why would they overcomplicate with the StG 44 if they were able to just take the Garand system? Or the real question, why would the Soviets need help copying the Garand? Why would Soviets need Germans to incorporate a Garand system into their prototype? "Saying the AK is not like the STG therefore Germans didnt make it, is some seriously weak ass thinking." - But it isn't, because it essentially removes the Germans from the equation. If there was evidence that the weapon was based on the German design, you could make the claim Germans were involved but it can't be proven. Okay, we'd never know but at least it's an hypothesis. The fact that the weapon is essentially different makes the presence of the Germans unnecessary to explain its existence. "The AR15 is nothing like an M1Garand So should we assume that is Russian too ?" - But we know the AR-15's history. And we know that Jim Sullivan and other engineers assisted in its design because it was a reworking of the AR-10, an American weapon from an American designer we knew to be employed at Armalite. So there was no Russian presence required for the AR-15.

They're making AK "shotguns" with paradox rifling so that you can shoot with a shotgun license before moving onto the rifle license.

Because that train station is located where modern day Kazakhstan is. It was part of the Soviet Union back then.

Now that you mention it, I do say an-TEA-freeze.

Research done on the StG? The AK is essentially an upside down Garand system, with similar trigger and the safety/dust cover from the Remington Model 8. Why would they need research on a German weapon that works completely different? And Hugo was sent back to Germany and died before the AK design process was finished. Heart and soul is German? It doesn't have the German complexity.

How exactly is it anti-Soviet? I seriously did not pick up those vibes.

@jared.p240 Again, because it gets a reaction out of people. Brandon's channel mocks AR owners all the time. Why do you think he does that? It's also a push back against decades of people dismissing "plastic" guns. People who fundamentally did not understand the engineering of firearms assumed "steel = good" while some 1911 brands had a decline in quality as the cost of manufacturing metal frame handguns increased.
