@aydanangus "Assault weapons" can't be imported. You'd have to do like AK importers do and destroy the receivers, rebuild them on US receivers and use the correct number of US-made parts.

What's ridiculous about that is that it's not even about safety, just like in Utoya, Norway a mass shooter could jump through those hoops but people without much money or free time would not be able to comply with those requirements.
