@Etherman7 It's not unconfirmable BS. His recount of the event in the book was embellished compared to his own after action report, and even that was exaggerated. You can claim it's BS and it could solve world hunger, doesn't make a lick of difference when you can literally watch the footage taken by the Taliban fighters. I have absolutely no envy of Luttrell, because I'd have to be insane to want to carry the shame of lying to get a book deal and a movie.

@davidbuller9696 It's not impossible that it could be someone else, but I've seen convincing evidence that took the distance from the eyes, corners of the mouth, etc to the tip of the nose and the proportions are the same. I guess the easiest way to settle this would for Chipman to provide a picture of him around that timeframe so we could compare. Or find the real identity of the man in the picture.

@Etherman7 Loving the pure, unbridled keyboard commando-ness of calling people diddlers from behind a screen simply for disagreeing. You have no argument, and this is your admission of it. Okay, then don't trust video footage. Trust Luttrell. The discrepancies between his own report and his book already show he's a liar. You're excusing lies by saying it's exaggeration, but they're lies. I won't post my name publicly, for the same reason you don't post your surname, Ethan.
