  3.  @madscientistshusta  Think about the wavelength of the typical radio frequencies. Now think about a typical tin foil hat. The tin foil hat cannot deal with EM radiation that has a wavelength either short enough to punch through, or long enough that it diffracts around the edges. Either way the MIT found that there was a 30 db amplification at 2.6 Ghz and a 20 db amplification at 1.2 Ghz. In fact the amplification was found to coincide with frequencies allocated to the government.
