  43.  @VladK-1  It's not a cauldron because the Ukrainians are capturing tons of APCs, artillery and ammo left behind in a hurry. They can't spring a trap without weapons. Also, the advance covered almost 70km in 3-4 days and is threatening to cut off Izyum. You don't let your enemy slash your supply lines in a silly trap.

  46. @Rob Moreno "They retreated to the east" - The road was eventually cut off. We may need a few days to get confirmation, but Izyum was encircled with pockets of resistance inside. The videos of the advance don't show any shelling, and the artillery is left behind.
