@Jason "That if you help big business it magically trickles down to everyone else?" - That's pure and simply a strawman fallacy. Trickle down is a smear targeted at Andrew Melon, who worked for the Woodrow Wilson administration. His tax plan actually put the burden of taxation on the WEALTHY and eased the burden on the middle class. Helping big business is just plain old corruption, not a legitimate economic plan, and both sides do it to help their lobbyist friends.

@ericacannon5832 Government money is just paper without an economy to back it up. You got the order of events completely backwards. If we got stranded on a desert island, my first action wouldn't be grinding rocks into coin shape to "print" money I could use to pay you to go gather coconuts or fish for me. We'd need to accumulate resources and have actual wealth before we'd consider engaging in trade. Then at one point replace barter by tokens. "Government prints money" is a completely useless statement because all that paper (or digits in a computer) is worthless without us creating value. And as we've seen with bitcoin and monero, you can use money that has not been minted by any government.
