That's a brainlet take. It's important to discourage bad behavior, people should be helping each other, not stealing. If you "just want food" you can't just go around and take it from others because they "just want food" too.

@SomeoneGreenPlane Journalists don't get a free pass to break the law. Just saying.

@wokeaf1337 That's correct. The people who just walked around the building got off easy. It was the ones who broke into offices and tried to take files and devices that got hit with the severe charges.

There was a ton of aid given to Syrian and Syrian refugees. In fact this was a huge point of contention because non-Syrians were taking advantage of the aid and refugee status. And obviously the US sent a ton of weapons to the "moderate rebels". That went well, didn't it? The only country where you really bring up a relevant point is Yemen because the US actually cooperated with the Houthis and then had to switch sides because of Saudi Arabia.

@MonkeyMcMonkey I don't want to minimize what's happening but considering getting pantsed "sexual assault" is something we have the luxury of doing in peacetime. During a war I don't think people think twice about it. I've had it done to me at school, it's embarrassing and humiliating. When the bombs are falling and houses are burning? It kind of doesn't matter.

@imperator692 It's still trespassing. I'm not saying it's a big deal, but just because something is happening doesn't mean journalists can do whatever they want to get the story.

@SomeoneGreenPlane There's an explicit allowance in a curfew. If it's illegal to enter Area 51, for example, they won't allow journalists to enter to record people trying to go in. Or if there's someone driving a car on an airport runway or something the news channel helicopter isn't allowed to enter the restricted airspace.

Russian origin? But a ton of them were Roma. If you're going to accuse this of being ethnically driven at least make sure you're aware of the ethnic groups that were way overrepresented.
