@cp12298 Hunger is not a production problem but a supply problem. If you have a way to take all this easily perishable food waste and send it fast to zones where the supply lines are cut due to warfare or natural disaster, by all means share with the rest of us.

Does the F-15 do 1800 MPH when loaded with weapons and fuel bags? There's more foreign F-35 buyers than nations building their own 5th gen fighters.

@johnmaccallum7935 The nature of air combat is that the F-15 will have to fire more missiles for the kill. When two flights of conventional aircraft meet each other, the side that fires missiles inside a modern Pk range first has the advantage because the pilots on the receiving end are now flying defensive with a problem that needs to be solved before setting up their own attack. So the missiles will start flying from a range at which they can still be defeated by wasting their kinetic energy. At Red Flag exercises, the F-35 simply gets in position undetected and fires the kill shot.

@elleb3478 What science?

@ilsunnylo3562 I don't smoke or drink. Micro plastics are a major issue. They're potentially one of the reasons while test levels are dropping off, and so are sperm counts.

edca poik It's already in service.

"not stealth at all" - Already used in strikes by Israelis without being shot down by Russian defenses.
1
edca poik I think my response got deleted... Either way it can go supersonic and hypoxia issues plague all aircraft in service.

@WeeWRomero The X-32 development was a mess.
1
@johnmaccallum7935 Completely unrelated. People keep ascribing meaning to things that don't mean what they think.
1
@johnmaccallum7935 Radars can't beat physics. How long has it been since the last "dogfight"? And 80% of shootdowns occur when the pilot being fired on did not realize he had an enemy in the area.
1
@johnmaccallum7935 How are you planning to have hypersonic dogfights? I don't remember the name of the report but supersonic combat logged in the entire Vietnam war was measured in minutes. Combat at Mach 2 was measured in seconds. Oh, 6th gen will be higher performance than 5th gen? What a dramatic twist. Would never see that coming.

@johnmaccallum7935 If all you can do is appeal to an (unproven) authority without an actual argument, then you have nothing to offer. The Fighter Mafia lost out in the end, by the way.
1
@johnmaccallum7935 But not in the way you portray it. Speed is a function of how soon you can be at point XYZ and how far you can loft munitions. But you're focused on dogfighting, which can't be done at high supersonic and when it does begin at supersonic speeds it goes to subsonic very quickly. All you can say is "you're wrong" without actually confronting how you want contradicting design parameters.

@WeeWRomero There's only 12 Su-57 made...
1
@WeeWRomero Do you know how to stop being an annoying child?
1
@jessicatorretto159 You do need to cut enough to get a statistically significant sample.

War Thunder has an extremely limited simulation. They're not using the processing power for graphics, they're doing approximations of the fluid dynamics involved, weather, they have the full internal systems simulated so that instructors can cause malfunctions in mid air and the student fix them.

@bigmeatyclaws3278 To be fair, DCS A-10 II is actually used by the Air Force and it looks gorgeous. The issue with a lot of newer aircraft is that there's so much technology that's still classified so they hire companies dedicated to making simulators for the military. They're not videogame developers used to the latest and greatest DirectX.
