@dontforgettolike7127 The people who called Canadians Nah-tzees over a single flag in a protest are pretending not to see the swastikas, black suns and totenkopfs on the gear of Ukrainian soldiers.

@TheObsesedAnimeFreaks If you engage in the distribution of illicit material you're also on the hook.

@joaquinlechen8611 If your daughter danced like in Cuties you unironically should have faced criminal charges.

@magsteel9891 The two issues with that are: 1. Even though the movie is "about" exploiting kids all the breakdowns I've seen essentially describe as not actually being critical, just exposing the issue, contrasting it to conservative Islamic tradition within the family, and then the girls resuming a normal childhood. So it's "about" exploitation but without even comitting to anything. 2. Despite the movie being "about" exploitation, from what we understand hundreds of children auditioned for the roles. Even if the movie was critical of exploitation, the audition process did exactly what the movie would be criticizing.

@joaquinlechen8611 Yeah, I wasn't there at the night of conception because I'm not a perv. This accusation is not the own you think it is. This wasn't about rules until I saw people defending this to the death, and then bragging about their own children as a way to defend the movie.

@joaquinlechen8611 How are the details about your personal life a defense of Cuties? Either it was never as bad, and you're a useful idiot, or you're actually admitting your own offspring was exploited. The two hour runtime is probably made up for the tapes of the hundreds of children who auditioned for the roles.

The US has no jurisdiction. Netflix are the ones distributing in the US. Everyone else is out of reach from the courts.

If you have the stomach, listen to "Hunting Warhead" - a podcast with six episodes about a criminal investigation on a dark web site administrator. It explains where it all ends up.

Making an anti-war movie by provoking an actual war is kind of crossing the line.

People complain about TikTok daily. Nobody has called out TikTok? It gets called out so often I'm actually kind of tired of hearing about it. YouTube was called out by that ginger guy. YouTube took down a ton of accounts and disabled comments on videos that seem to feature children. The author "denounced" it by getting the girls to do the same shit? Brilliant cinematography? Press X to doubt. I don't think she's the next Kubrick. Also, calling people virgins lol

It's literally about distribution. If the charges were about production they'd have been dismissed in 30 seconds.

That doesn't make it okay to involve children. Plus, shouldn't we be more evolved?

Yeah the whole "it's French" excuse has been worn tired since... the 90s?
