@Saiyan0X they put the money through "air locks". Say a foreign interest group wants to finnance a presidential campaign, they donate to a university or something with an agreement that the money will be attributed to a non-profit, then that institution is actually controlled by a politician. Then the politician can use that money to achieve deals, like you front the money to finnance the campaign and then the foundation hires your company for "consulting" purposes so you get paid back, the money gets "laundered" from its foreign origins. Everyone knows exactly what's going on but you can't prove it's foreign money finnancing your campaign unless someone blows the whistle.
