@user-vs6oe8fl3m did you just fucking say Stalinism is democratic?
58
Luke Bruce by that logic the USSR, Cuba, Yugoslavia, DPRK, etc were all capitalist. Even an oven, a sewing machine or a plot of land are means of production. Markets exist everywhere, even if grey or black.

@thotslayer9914 Extreme right libertarians have the most common ground with all sides of the political spectrum. We'll allow you to wither away in whatever form of government you consent living under. We'll allow you to come in and trade with us if you wish. It's everyone else who looks at us and say "those meanies have no government, we must assimilate them against their will".
14
+Levi Shaun yeah let's see how the USSR respected the right to strike: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novocherkassk_massacre uh ohhhh
6
+Wazzok1 Lenin and Stalin oppressed a class called "kulaks". Stalin also committed ethnic cleansing by shifting ethnic minorities across the Soviet Union and actual genocide through planned famines. Stalin was also planned the genocide of Jews by accusing them of undermining the Soviet state and being capitalist collaborators.

They didn't monitor the camps. Satellite imagery didn't exist then. You were only shown what Germans wanted you to see. Just like a restaurant is always cleaner when it's time for the inspection.
5
@phunkracy that sure is a partial sentence
5
+Swedish12 the Bolsheviks had private support from abroad.
5
@K yeah, and have you noticed how policemen have become armed thugs who kill at a drop of a hat with near impunity?
5
Being a smelly loser isn't cool.
5
Not true. Many countries where the questioning is illegal do it for all genocides. For example the genocide in the Balkans. The expulsions were mostly because they were easy to blame as middle managers as kings got into debt and needed a scapegoat.
4
@AgendaFiles Look up the Weather Underground and the former members that became professors or assistants in schools/universities. There's like 5 or 6. So, they're not nameless, they have names and faces you can easily find online. Is that enough? Will you forfeit the argument and accept we were right? Or are you going to deny that your conditions have been met and change the subject? Because I won't follow you down that spiral.
4
Wow another Trump = Nazi. When I was a kid I said the same about Bush. Congratulations you have the mental age of me when I was 12.
4
It isn't. Many countries where it is illegal have generic laws. Rwanda, Bosnia, etc. are covered the same.
4
Rooms where "gas was exposed" could be walked into after venting. If your carbon monoxide alarm starts beeping you open a window.
4
The whole point is that nobody controls anything. Hey, in a controlled economy those with the hands on the controls are friends with the billionaires. So we're living in the dystopia you people think the free market is.

@gargravarr2 "As per TIK's terminology, this means that practically all of Bezos' money wasn't made as a capitalist private businessowner, but as the head of a socialist corporation-state." - dude what the fuck? EDIT: I didn't notice this was about the misconception of "public" companu.
3
wannabchomsky buddy you really out here arguing that "infrastructure" only means "public infrastructure" and blatantly ignoring how it was explained to you that as long as Amazon keeps putting all their revenue into expanding their business, they technically have no "profits" to tax.
3
kare dare "an-cap" dude what? How the fuck is this ancap?
3
+History Of Socialism and someone can say that he would shoot a child for stealing candy but that doesn't make him a ancap either. Mises Institute can be used as a source by anyone from neocons feeling feisty to libertarians. Your "proof" for this being an AnCap piece is inconclusive at best.
3
@crabbytemptations1771 Better strategy? Germany could not win. It was mathematically impossible.
3
When a body is already degraded you can shove a new one in there. You significantly cut time by "starting" a process while "finishing" a previous corpse.
3
@crhu319 Unprovoked mention of "incels". You people love outing yourself as propagandists because you can't be subtle.
3
In some countries, the Serb chimp out in the 1990s. The Armenian genocide if recognized in those countries.

@martist911wasits-not-real4 When the health inspector checks the restaurant it's always squeaky clean.

+Levi Shaun the modern colloquial usage of postmodernism predates the internet fame of Jordan Peterson by about 20 years.
2
The absolute copium.
2
wannabchomsky Okay but they pay payroll tax, no? When people are employed through their business (including people at the management level) they pay income tax, no? When they build, they're giving construction companies business, no? This means people working for construction companies get paid. They're contributing by paying money directly to others. Meanwhile taxes waste your money on bombing the shit out of middle eastern countries and lining the pockets of politicians, with only a few pennies on the dollar making it to public infrastructure.
2
wannabchomsky Oh my fucking god you don't even know what a payroll tax is. Ahahahahahaha. Oh lord you aren't even knowledgeable about the topic.
2
@bigKANG420 This is a falsehood. In many countries it's illegal to question any genocide, not just the Holocaust.
2
@martist911wasits-not-real4 I never said bodies are fuel. I said that once a body has run through the process that destroyed most tissues, you can stick a new body into the same furnace and use the burn time. You struck out trying to counter an argument I never used. Read next time.
2
Can you find the camp fire where I roasted marshmallows 15 years ago?
2
+Collective Toothbrush wow what is reading between the lines, you're redefining an argument comparing Trump to Hitler as not an actual comparison. Congratulations for not understand subtext without having it spelled it our for you.
2
+Thomas Ridley okay, "same tactics as Hitler". Did Trump burn down the Capitol and blame Mexicans? Are Trump supporters painting Mexican flags on Mexican-owned businesses? Is Trump cementing his power with a Kristallnacht when it's actually the left deplatforming right wingers, undermining right-wing businesses and engaging in "book burning"? Is LITERALLY ANY ELECTED OFFICIAL IN A DEMOCRACY doing anything other than using existing divisions to portray himself as the only answer to save the country? Literally everyone does that. It's how you get elected. What platform did Hillary run on? "Trump's gonna destroy the country and voting for me is the only way to save it". "This crap never ends well for anyone" wow since 2016 I've been hearing that the dictatorship is coming any day now. Any day now.

@stevengordon3271 Technocracy is evil.
2
@stevengordon3271 You just went through a worldwide event where the experts constantly tripped over themselves over what the science actually was. The problem with technocracy is that we all can tell when ideologically driven decisions go too far, technocracy is especially evil because it has no bounds and no matter how evil it becomes people will cross their arms and defend it because the experts know better.
2
@stevengordon3271 No, it's the perfect example. If the technocrats can only deal with stuff we already know, then they're useless. This was about how valid technocracy is. Someone mocking an expert doesn't magically contort reality into making them wrong. "Almost none of the opposition to masks, social distancing and tactical lockdowns were actual qualified scientists" - Except for the scientists who said masks were useless, then changed their mind. "The problem was the blind ideologists, not the technocrats." - I mean, this is pure No True Scotsman because you will get blind ideologists in a technocracy, and especially how modern academia works science has been twisted into a game of passing peer review which means people get ahead by towing the line rather than making radical discoveries. Who is the technocrat who picks the technocrats? You can't have your system without blind ideologues.
2
@stevengordon3271 The same playbook used for the 2009 swine flu? Sure. Stop blaming others. This is about getting things wrong. Other people don't matter. Your expertise can't be undermined if you're RIGHT. Don't be WRONG. That's the bare minimum expected of a "technocrat". They can't even do that. Your technocracy is an evil system and 2020 forever discredited it. Sorry to demolish the foundations of your belief system. Adjust. We all had to do it at one point.
2
@etiennesauve3386 "We could say the same thing about state owned companies. " - Not really. State-owned companies do not need to turn a profit because their existence can be financed as long as there's taxpayers. A cooperative needs to turn a profit or else it runs out of funds and collapses. Also, many state-owned companies benefit from the fact that the state can use the power of law to drive competition away. "I brought up the cooperative mode to show that socialism is not just "stealing" from the the poor capitalist" - by definition that's kind of what socialism is...
2
+noledareminombreaunamaquina the modern world has less state intervention, not more. Also Marx's utopia would be a communist utopia because socialism is still a state-controlled society and only meant to be a transitioning period.
2
Christian faith allows for the exhumation if there's a reason. Imagine if a Muslim-majority country wanted to dig up Christian remains to make a mockery of how they died. The Christian minority would refuse too.
2
Right. But half the countries with those laws will also jail you if you say the Serbs did nothing wrong in the 90s.
2
Juan Bautista the statistics that come from the Cuban government?
2
Alixundr >Communist party riding a bike with a stick named "socialist economic theory" >Communist puts the stick on the bike wheel spokes >"fucking free markets" There, a meme in text form

@exeexecutor Should we drop the nukes on Moscow, then?

"Even the women and children too" - Anakin Skywalker

@WillyEckaslike Except the governments kept the public in the dark, because they feared backlash if the holocaust was used to justify the war.

You're gonna beat the Russians into submission, Dan? Ukraine is accepting volunteers, I heard. Think you'll be in Moscow by Christmas?
