@jaydeeoldboy9903 fuck off. I knew Jim was garbage since the 2012-2013 era when this shit started cranking up right before gamergate. He used his podcast on Destructoid to shit on men because male sex toys are disembodied female body parts. The dumb fuck waved a giant purple dildo around on Jimquisition and had no self-awareness to even realize female sex toys are often disembodied male body parts. He didn't do such things that often but whenever he had the chance to shit on men and put women on a pedestal he fucking took it.

The obsession with victimization and the logic of "there's no bad actions only bad targets" has actually prevented leftists who are garbage human beings from being called out because any attempt to call them out is framed as victimization. "I love e;r. I dont have to agree with everything he says to enjoy him." - nobody said you did. But when he posted a video of Steven Universe's brain broadcasting a Hitler speech the joke lands whether you agree or not. You can be offended. You can just not like the joke. But the point that E;R does not deserve to get booted out doesn't conflict with choosing not to listen to Jim Sterling because he has bad opinions and he's a hypocrite. We didn't call for Jim Sterling to be deplatformed and I don't think anyone should be forced to watch E;R. Somehow, you think you have found hypocrisy here when there is none. "I'm a dude, and as a dude, I dont give a fuck if people bad mouth men. Men are pigs" - That's the ultimate "spare some coochie, ma'am?" move. I don't care about your perspective because you have no actual statements to back it up. My point is that Jim Sterling is actually too dumb to make a criticism of men. If Jim is going to say something I already agree with but his explanation requires me to accept a bunch of beliefs I wholeheartedly reject there's no point in watching. Either way, people who claim the world is overpopulated and men who hate men have the same solution - and nobody actually follows through with it. Funny how that works. It's almost like they're not being honest. "His content about the industry is why I watch" - but the point is that his comments about the industry are completely inseparable from his brainlet understanding of capitalism. And that's my point, E;R's joke about overrepresentation of Jewish people in positions of power while a Hitler speech is playing does not undermine his criticism of Steven Universe. You can detach content from the joke. If I'm going to detach Sterling's politics from his content it's just "bideo gaem industry bad" and wow I don't need a 10 minute video of filler to know that.

inyrui E;R's critiques are unrelated to his politics, though. Edit: Sterling doesn't just make jokes about political leanings. He has used his platform to do bullshit things like shit on the entire male gender. If E;R's videos had bad critiques and shit jokes I wouldn't watch it. Jim Sterling has bad takes and isn't even funny when pushing his politics. So why watch? It's not a matter of taking offense. If you didn't like E;R's critique you are free to not watch without being considered "offended".

@Snow-Willow honestly with all the bullshit surrounding tumblr... I'll only leave when it closes down. It's not as cancerous as reddit because you either block the people you don't like or learn to live with them. I have rivalries that have lasted almost 6 years and it's fucking hilarious to have those people around.
