@DummyThinksThoughts For most of SC's existence you could not feasibly earn ships in game due to wipes and bugs/crashes hindering your progress. It's only recently that earning in-game became a primary way of getting ships. It wasn't always like that.

@gian.4388 SC was collecting money for much longer. Just because it became less predatory, it doesn't change the fact that the game was based on predation. If it wasn't for the jpeg sales there would be no game to grind ships for.

@north_borne The past 4 years includes 2020, which was a joke release date from way back. Even SC critics would say you were being too harsh if you predicted a 2020 release. Instead of a release, the gracious overlords won't nickle and dime backers as hard. Omegalul
