  1.  @pyranna2003  people didn't buy AMD when they had the upper hand technology wise. AMD is turning to the business and console side of things because PC gamers are fucking dumb and gave monopoly to nvidia. A company known to cheat in benchmarks, hire online shills, force gameworks into games so that AMD performance falls behind, etc. Why would they care now? Even if AMD released a good card gamers would be like "wow can't wait for nvidia's response" and buy nvidia 4 months later.

  2.  @mdmaxson  that's a complete mischaracterization of the argument. Are you gonna play only those 15 games until you finally save for an upgrade 4 years from now? We'd rather skip this gen and buy something that will perform in future games rather than getting into early access ray tracing.

  3. +Imraan Omar yeah other people's money is not my business. But other people using their money to reward companies for taking anti-consumer stances which fucks us in the end. Remember when they introduced the Founder's edition line and literally said that they released them to see if people would buy them? If those people with good jobs said "you know, I worked hard to be educated enough to have this job, and worked hard for my promotions, hence I worked hard for my money - let me check if I am getting a good deal out of my money" we'd be in a better place right now. By all means spend mindlessly. It's their right. It's also my right to judge them.

  4. @Robert Cowan if physx was as great as you think it is every game would have destructible environments, cloth ripping etc. Physx is implemented, but barely.

  5. +Robert Cowan yeah PhysX is barely implemented. The extent to which it is implemented makes it not much better than Havok except it's run through proprietary hardware. And the fact that it's run through x87 so that CPUs can't take that load off the GPU only proves out point: PhysX does not exist to improve games, it exists so that nvidia can wield it as an anti-AMD weapon.
