Of course that a rational agent in the car market sees his money being used to get cars out of the street so he sees an opportunity to make his money back. But you're the kind of fool who got took for a ride. It would have been money if the government didn't steal your money first, and you got a couple hundred off that beater. But no. You got taken like a chump and brag about it.

It doesn't matter if you insist on paying full price, that just means you're a dummy. If you start pulling levers and pushing buttons in a way to change markets, they change. You can't deny the change. "You can sell your car for $500 to those you talk too much" - but if the government is artificially driving up the price of my car I have zero reasons to sell it for under the new market value.
