@Bernddd you're still creating inflation because prices will adjust to the new market tolerance. Things are worth what people are willing to pay for them, and if everyone is richer by a certain amount they will tolerate a rise in prices as long as they can still afford it.

@Bernddd "keep the free market in check with maximum prices?" - we already know price controls backfire. You can't have a "free market" and then try to pull levers and press switches to micromanage it because that's how you send things into full meltdown.
