  1. ​ @ETMIRAGE  Cameras were massive in the 80s and TVs would not have the power to broadcast. Without cellphone cameras and wifi that tech wouldn't work.

  2. Imagine you hear of a terrorist meeting. You could ping a rare pokemon to appear on location and have civilian scan the area. You can't call a Google car to appear on any city street to film the meeting happening at a café.

  4. ​ @Bonez0r  Changing your username doesn't mean anything when the account is the same. Even if you switch accounts you still tied it to an email, and to watch age restricted videos you'll need to tie an ID or credit card to that account.

  5. There's a joke that if a plane full of people travelling to a furry convention goes down, the government will have critical software failures the next week. In government and defense the software/cybersecurity people are disproportionately furries compared to gen pop.

  6. I mean, codenames are pretty esoteric. During the cold war the British came up with a purposely nonsense code because they couldn't resist giving projects names that referenced the subject/purpose which lead to Soviets easily guessing what they were.
