  2. ​ @Blackhawk556.  Gas doesn't burn and explode instantly. You need the proper air fuel ratio. Only the "fumes" start burning, essentially. Gasoline is volatile and the evaporation mixes it with air. Liquid gasoline unmixed with air can't burn.

  4. ​ @GreenDriveIndia  Yes. A petrol tank has unmixed fuel. Fuel needs to be mixed with air to burn. So you have a bunch of liquid not touching air, the surface of the liquid, and the fumes mixed with air.

  5. ​ @jerryinmon2731  How many cars burn due to people dropping cigarettes in the seats? You can't use accidents that are unrelated to the ICE to portray such cars as a fire hazard.
