@reinbeers5322 Hydrogen likes to slip into metal causing embrittlement and pressurization cycles would lead to fatigue.

@sking2173 Terrible argument, considering that any glance at a history book would tell you that embracing deviancy is a tale as old as time itself, and it was the older generations who took over academia to teach such concepts in the modern iteration.

Stirling engines are notorious for being hard to work with once you scale them past a certain point.

@mmavcanuck Almost everything we make "can" be recycled. The problem is making sure that recycling facilities will even touch a battery built today by the time it needs to retire. I remember when having two slots for graphics cards was the rage in the computer world, because you could just buy another as a cheap upgrade. Turned out that doing it didn't make any sense, you either bought two cards at once to flex or you just upgraded to a new gen card. Every freaking time these things happen.

@ardijanuar2036 98% of industrial diamonds are lab grown, not mined. Synthetic diamonds are used in abrasives, drill bits, disc cutters for angle grinders, etc. If you ever had your teeth drilled into at the dentist, most likely a diamond tipped drill was used. Zero ethical concerns.
